Personally, I think that the Sherlock Holmes game was very, very underated. This game should not be confused with crap like Supreme Warrior and Slam City. The FMV for Sherlock Holmes made sense in the context of the type of game it was.
It was like a Murder Mystery - Who dunnit game. It wasn't in any way shape or form trying to be a real video game, unlike Sewer Shark and crap like that. When I first got Sherlock Holmes for the Sega CD (I never had a Turbo CD), I loved it, and I thought that I would be playing tons of games like that in the future, little did I know that I would never see another game like it.
It's really too bad that Full Motion Video games got such a bad rap in general, that nobody would dare make another FMV game ever again. Sure, most of the games were total crap, but used in a game like Sherlock Holmes, it made perfect sense.
