Famiclone Does Something Useful
Link
Recent news has spoken of an Apple II clone being costing about $12. It is now believed to be an actual Famiclone, even having a cart slot! The device is being marketed as a "TV Computer" and is being compared to other third-world-computer solutions. As a general purpose word processor, this is bare minimum, but I highly doubt it will be a contender for OLPC.

Caption: "Yeah, you're getting a real top-of-the-line machine there..." - I'm concerned, this is marketed as an educational product, yet it contains a bootleg X-in-1 cart, what looks to be a bootleg Mario 2j, and a GUN! We all know it's a Chinese Zapper, but still, it's a toy gun!
I'm amazed this thing has a mouse. I wasn't aware if any official mouse were ever developed, and if so, if it were analog. As seen below, it connects on a good old gamepad interface, common to lots of things. I wonder, would this mouse work well with stuff like Shadowgate?
