At first, I couldn't tell if this was a "ZELDA SUX" thread or a "GAMECUBE SUX" thread, but after reading your first post twice, I know now that it's a little bit of both.
While I will agree with you that the GCN Zeldas are overrated, I disagree about the GameCube being a total failure of a system. Now that many of the used third-party games have hit rock-bottom at Gamestop, I would go as far as saying that it's a pretty good system to play. It isn't the oasis that the PlayStation 2 is, but it really isn't that bad if you have an open-mind.
But yes, I just can't get into Zelda on the Cube. Hell, I stopped playing Phantom Hourglass on the DS recently and don't know when I'll end up touching it again.
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.
I probably wouldn't be that sad to get rid of my own Zelda games.
I haven't played TP yet though; WW's still the most current one I've played.
Well, I never liked Wind Waker, though I did like Twilight Princess. Seems like you're being a little rough on the system. It's got a good selection. I just looked back at my selection, and here are some good titles:
Mario Sunshine (completely underrated)
Luigi's Mansion
007 Nightfire
Animal Crossing
Metroid Prime
Paper Mario TTYD
Smash Bros
Tales of Symphonia
Resident Evil 4
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (pretty good game actually)
Lego Star Wars (really fun co-op, it's simply play is great)
Soul Calibur II
Wario Ware
X-men Legends 1 and 2 (I was an X-men fan back in the day)
Nightfire is bitchin'
And SSBM is the best party game ever.
Xbox Live : modest9797
Games I Want
PS1: 2% PS2: 0%
Xbox: 42% GC: 18%
I don't even need to look over my shoulder to name some must-own GC titles
Luigi's Mansion
Paper Mario (Super Paper Mario would have been here too 'cept it eventually hit Wii)
P.N. 03
Ikaruga
Viewtiful Joe
Metroid Prime
Geist
Smash Bros Melee
Zelda Four Swords Adventure
Resident Evil 4
Tales of Symphonia
Phantasy Star Online 1&2
Star Fox Adventures
Star Fox Assault (the air missions are tops, the ground missions are balls)
Eternal Darkness
TimeSplitters 3
Wave Race
Just to name a few. 8*)
So...we have...
1. "I hate Zelda" thread...
2. "I hate GameStop" thread...
3. "I hate Game Cube" thread...
4. "I hate Ikaruga" thread...
5. "I hate Game Cube ports" thread...
6. "I hate not having (insert game name here)" thread...
7. "I hate being a thrifty spender" thread...
8. "I hate the lack of sales on GH3" thread...
9. "I adore cliche nicknames for retail stores" thread...
All wrapped up into one nice little gift basket of a post.
Perhaps I can offer you a small rainbow tied around a tastefully decorated ice cream sundae of your favorite flavor, with extra whip cream and cherries on top.
Just wanted to bring a little bit of (Mario) sunshine to this droopy post.
Just don't cross any rivers, m'kay?
Gamestop is the biggest ripoff on trade-ins ever, don't sell them there. Put them on eBay at the very least, or sell them here on the boards.

hey you just played too many games ,ever think of quiting and go back to life ? or you think there is nothing uncomfortable with playing game ?
Are you kidding me? What about Resident Evil 4? Perhaps the best game for the system? Nintendo Gamecube is my Resident Evil mekka, it has the REmake and Zero exclusive, and all the other good Resident Evil games available.
I won't make this into a list making contest, listing all the cool games I have for it, but come on, it's not a failure of a system. Have you met Atari XE and Virtual Boy? There we have failures...
The Gamecube was perhaps not my favourite console when it was current-gen, but now, at low-low prices I love it!
the zelda franchise went down the shitter once it hit 3d, the last zelda I really enjoyed was minish cap and before that the last one was link's awakening on gb. I just can't wrap myself around 3d zelda, although windwaker was at the very least playable compared to ocarina. and I just don't even want to talk about how awfull twilight pinrcess was, still I wouldn't recomeond trading them into gamestop you'll probably only get 2-3$ for them.
If I wanted to play Combat, I'd play Combat. The controls worked there. They don't work in Resident Evil. And I never cared to play RE4 because I never cared to play the previous games.
GameBalls is running a trade-in promotion right now, so it's like getting what you'd get on ebay minus a convenience fee for not having to deal with ebay.
I'm completely incensed at your edgy, oh-so-controversial statements regarding popular video game series, and my attention, while negative, is now completely directed toward you, which is better than no attention at all. Unfortunately my attention is fleeting, so you will soon have to think of other ways of acting out to recapture it. In the meantime however, simply bask in the pure joy of having others react to things that you've said.
It's too bad several of the people in this thread couldn't get into the various 3-D Zelda's. I think they're some of the best games ever made...or at least I thought so when they were first released. I entered the Gamecube/PS2/Xbox generation by buying a Gamecube just to play Wind Waker. I've bought every Zelda release on day 1. I love those games.
However, as the years go by, I can sympathize with the ho-hum reaction that comes with each new release. I forced myself to finish Phantom Hourglass (it took 3 months) and never finished Twilight Princess (I even have both versions). They simply bored me to death. With TP, I had no motivation to keep going...and I finish almost EVERY game I buy. They're great games...I guess. I think it has more to do with me than the actual game. My gaming tastes have moved on.
