Can a Famicom Disk System work on a Retro Duo with an adapter?
I've heard a few different things.
MOD EDIT: I added a few words so your subject line wasn't so generic.

Any idea?
What have you heard?
I've tested my FDS on my Retro Duo and I find it to be incompatible.
"And the book says: 'We may be through with the past, but the past ain't through with us.'"
Honestly Tupin, you seem to be so round-about concerning the Famicom that you should set your mind to one thing and stick with it. You will NEVER get better all-in-one compatiblity than with a Twin Famicom, and the price seems to be pretty low at the current point in time. In fact AB Positive just had one end on eBay a couple days ago, in the US, with a brand new belt, two FDS games, a handful of Famicom cartridges, and it all ended for less than $100 shipped.
For FDS just stick with the original hardware all the way, you'll have a much easier time. An FDS and AV Famicom will end up running you more than a Twin Famicom with prices how they are these days.
