Great find at Value Village Thrift store for $4.75.
Only problem is that the plexiglass is cracked on 3 arrows but I can fix that easily. Metal pads are usually expensive as hell.
Ataris are easy to get looking new as long as they're not truly beat up. You can just take out the insides and drop both halves of the shell in the sink like a load of dishes. After some quality time in the warm soapy water and some TLC from a toothbrush, those puppies will look like you just pulled them from the box. A little packing tape and card stock over the serial number will save that gem as well. For anything else that's not so sink friendly, Windex has always been my savior.
For just one example (and man, do I wish I had taken before and after pictures as you had) my manager gave me a couple of Atari 2600s that were just dirty as hell. One of them was a Vader but I didn't find that out until after I washed all the dirt off the thing - I'm not kidding. Now they both sit proudly and seriously get complimented on being the nicest Ataris some people have ever seen.
Yesterday's finds:
NES:
Super Mario Bros. 2 (w/cart sleeve) - $3.99 at Goodwill
PS2:
Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol. 1 (new)
Mojo! (new)
$1.58 each at Fred Meyer.
Received a large lot of about 100 issues of Game Informer from a fellow DPer. Now, to find places to put all thse magazines I've gotten over the last 6 months.
i felt the same way when found the blast acrosse empty case at goodwill a while back, i wanted to punch who did it. You wont pay 2.99 for a complete blast lacrosse.
Luckily about a month later at half price books i found a mint blast lacrosse complete for .99. I was so happy. So now i have the extra case and manual laying around.
Lol i paid less for the complete copy. Stupid half price books.
Autobots. Roll out.
Arrived in the mail today from Amazon:
NGPC:
Puzzle Bobble Mini (w/cart case) - $5.94 shipped
Nice find... According to my teacher the metal DDR pads they cost like $50.00 each. Why would she know this..... Well I asked her since for 3 weeks we play DDR, and we have metal pads.

You have DDR at school?
Grand total was $48. The PS2 works great and also came with the dvd remote and hookups. NES was in a free pile at a sale... haven't tested it yet. SNES came from a sale where they had a bunch of crap, but they asked me what I was looking for. After I said video games, one of them asked me how much I might spend for something like that. I figured getting in the door (so to speak) was better than her saying 'never mind', so I said maybe 20 bucks. So when she brought me in to see the SNES, I figured I wouldn't dicker around at that point. I needed Tetris/Dr. Mario and maybe tetris 2 (have to check).
And now I own my very own Game Station. It is cool, because it has "High Definition Graphics", "3D Effects", and "dynamic stereo sound" (despite only having 1 composite audio out). I've seen one of these posted in this thread before, but I'd forgotten how blatantly they use Mario, et. al. on the box. It is CIB, too, I just didn't get out the gun/controllers. Works great. Only checked a couple of the games, but they appear to be the usual sort of thing repeated. Has 'Pika', which is PikaChu on the title screen and is a SMB hack with terrible music and inexplicable character and enemy designs.

I got a complete Japanese copy of Biohazard Zero and RockMan EXE 2 a couple of days ago through a U.S. seller on eBay.
They are nice and mint, except Biohazard Zero does not have the bonus GC memory card...
In all, it ran me about twelve-something.
In Heaven, everything is fine.
Original Game Boy, loose, exc. cond. other than the missing battery cover, 5.99 at Goodwill.
I got a DS game at a GameStop this evening:
Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble (complete) - $5.99
Picked up Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles (Wii) for $20 and Congo Capers (SNES) for free.
.:Collection Pics:.
Sealed vhs tape of Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero. The cool thing about this game is that I'm one of the only people that actually liked it, so picking up related merchandise for it is usually really easy. $5
Brand new Japanese import version of Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance for GBA. $10
And last is what appears to be the entire run of Japanese Sega Dreamcast Magazine disc with picture sleeves. Not a bad start for this month.

2xtreme
World's Wildest Police Chases
Picked up a complete G Darius for $5 from the Salvation Army
and last of all I pick up Tales from the Crypt Season 1 dvd set for $5 from Value Village
So all in all nothing major but a few things I'm happy to have gotten
Yes, I have DDR at school... I swear my school is rich.. We have 8 HDTV, we play on. The funny thing is though, we play on the OG X-box...
Once a year we have a video game tournament... No, not DDR, but the latest Maddden.
My teacher told me it's either we play DDR, or the state says we do actual dancing.
Then again, maybe I should start a Thread about this....
See how many people wished this was their High School...
