My sister found a mint condition copy of StarTropics (box/foam/inst.etc) at some Used Furniture place for $2. They said they never have games, but they had that one.
The sticker on it says it was $69.99 at Zellers.
She gave it to me when I got home from work today. Super happy.
i managed it by popping out my 20 gig, driving to the store, and trading it in. gamestop just released the 60gig that comes with a wired headset and 3 mo xbox live. of course, i did have to pay a little extra. The 60 gig was 99.99 new. i ended up with about $30 worth of trade in credit so there you go.
Dreamcast demo disc lot of 15 with a few of the rare kiosk disc. Notables include the San Francisco Rush 2049 kiosk, Grand Turismo Bleem for Dreamcast, At&t cd-rom, Ultimate Fighting Championship kiosk and Demolition Racer kiosk. It also came with a Dreamcast branded cd wallet. Grand total: $4.50
The seller had advertised this as a complete set of Xbox kiosk disc. I knew that it wasn't(it only goes up to kiosk 4.0) but because it would help me fill in the holes of my collection I snagged it anyway. At a $50 buy it now, it seems alittle pricey for a incomplete set, but if you do the math it comes up to about $2 a disc. And because 95% of them were factory sealed, that makes it all the more better

I'm finally back from Florida! I did not get to hit many game places due to all of the theme park hopping that my family wanted to do, but I did get a few good things besides the copy of FF7 that I found during my first day there.
First off, we took a detour to an Anime store in Orlando. They had quite a bit of overpriced but good Anime stuff. I picked out a Higurashi and Groove Adventure Rave Trading figure, then I spotted the good stuff: a juicy case of import games! ALL WERE BRAND-NEW!
I had a couple of the GC games, but the others were too much. Some good PS1 stuff was in there too, but I skipped it. Out of the bunch, I picked out Guilty Gear XX Slash for $49.99. During my search, I also located the Japanese deluxe Samba De Amigo set for $116, but I passed. I also passed on the Japanese Game Boy Advances. They had one of every color, and all were new for $50. I feel bad for skipping those.....
Finally, out of all the import stuff, there was but one American game. Metal Gear for the Game Boy Color! I held the box in excitement, but discovered that there was no game inside. Every single insert and the cardboard game tray were inside, though.
Luckily for me, the owner of the store owner gave it up for free!
In all:
-Final Fantasy 7 (missing manual)
-Guilty Gear XX Slash (Brand-New!)
-Metal Gear GBC (box, manual, and inserts)
Not a bad week.
In Heaven, everything is fine.
Things I picked up this week:
Got some stuff this evening:
NES:
Alien Syndrome (cart only) - $2.50
Genesis:
Ranger X (cart only) - $2.50
PlayStation:
Twisted Metal 4 (complete, GH) - $2.50
Game Gear:
Bram Stoker's Dracula (cart only) - $1
Today I picked up Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe for the XBOX 360 at Circuit City. It was on sale for $49.99. The ad said they give a free artwork picture. I asked about it and they told me to check back with them. Not sure if things like that come separate from the games when they are shipped or what. I'll check back with them tomorrow.
$2 each
Presented to you with no pictures. Lame.
First, what I didn't get . . . D2 for Dreamcast.
It was at Half Price Books for $10, but I had a 50% coupon for Sunday. The game was still there as of Saturday, so I figured I'd pick it up for $5 right at opening. Fate conspired against me, though and I didn't get there until midday, and it was gone. Poop.
On the other hand, they also had the original (Greatest Hits version) Silent Hill for $20. Since it's always bugged me that my copy has no manual, I picked this up on Thursday for $15 using a 30% coupon. Now to sell my manual-less version and hopefully break even.
There's also a Goodwill near me that for whatever reasons is always getting in Wii stuff. Saturday they had a for all intensive purposes new copy of Super Mario Galaxy. They were asking $30, but a 30% coupon brought it down to $21. Which made me pretty happy since $45 used at Gamestop is way more than I want to pay.
Those discs actually aren't bad - they have the original geometry wars on them don't they? I bought awhile ago just to have for $5.00.
Today's finds:

Gauntlet Legends (PS1, complete) - $1.50
Starcraft + Brood War (PC/Mac, CD + key) - $1.50
Brood War (disc only) - $1

Mac Foundry (Font CD) - $1

Cake - Comfort Eagle (mint!) - $1
RTX Red Rock Soundtrack (new) - $1

Not much to report just a complete copy of Double Dragon 5 for Genesis for 2.99 (wouldn't have picked up but it had the poster and temporary tattoo included with it and even though 500 of my genesis games are in Iowa I'm still working towards getting them all) and Dr. Mario for nes for $3 that my wife picked up for a friend of hers.
