Holy Sh!t
You see, when I see this, I automatically get suspicious. What's keeping a repair guy just like me, from doing something like this, AFTER HE"S PARTED OUT THE SYSTEMS? To keep things organized when I do repairs, I actually actively make totally dead consoles. once I've swapped out all working parts with broken parts (including the shell), it's trash. what's keeping someone from Ebaying them as *ahem*parts*ahem* When they are all utterly broken through and through?
This may not be the case here. If I was local I'd definitely check it out, to see where it was coming from. If it's from a pawn or something, that's good. If it's from a refurbishing place, or from a guy who does some repairs of his own, that's bad. I'm cheap, and I wouldn't pay what the shipping alone would likely cost, let alone anything more.
It kinda looks like my basement though....

Yeah, locally, it would be worth it just to make a game room chair out of those ps shells.

There's no doubt this is exactly what Omnedon says it is (or speculated, for that matter,) Just for the simple fact that the auction mentions missing parts in some of consoles and even empty shells. 'Untested,' hahaha, I bet.
If nothing else, that photo of 49 broken PlayStations stacked top-to-bottom is quite funny.
But seriously, that's a lot of broken shit to truck across the country -- who's desperate enough to want a whole bunch of unplayable stuff all at once? Most people can find it just by asking around...
