You can use a ps1 (smaller system model) power supply on the XEYE. I got a xeye without power supply and I use a ps1 one.

As has been said, that's incorrect, better than using a Genesis 2 adapter, but still incorrect. As has also been said, finding a CDX adapter is much easier than finding an X'Eye adapter (since JVC Service stopped selling them years ago) and they are essentially the same.
