I hunted down a 3.5" disk on eBay for this game recently. I didn't tear it open though, since it was probably just the shareware (again) and on top of that it was a tear-open sleeve.
I must scan it sometime; it's got some really, really bad cover art.
Onto the game itself, I find myself playing the shareware off and on now and then. For some reason this game grips me while Wolf3D never really did - for one, there seems to be more to do.
Other note: There were at least two major versions of the graphics in the game, with what I think was an old style having "taller" looking characters, a bit sketchy but rather cool, and a "newer" one with more distinct separated colors but also looking rather chunky and silly. The face on the Wikipedia article's screenshots seems to be from the EDIT later version.
This page seems to have the early version graphics.
Also, the original Hugo trilogy is amazing and I must replay the games sometime. I don't think I got through the second one entirely, however (the mansion / will-inspired whodunit thingamajig with random forest scenes. OOER!)
