These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
I got my PS2 version preorder through Amazon.

SNK US always delays everything for ridiculous amounts of time for no apparent reason.
The more it gets delayed, the more the game will suck. Look at Orochi Saga and Arcade Classics...
I wonder if the PS2 version will be better than the Wii version.
I wouldn't even bother with the PSP version with that d-pad.
If I'm not mistaken, a lot of people complained that the PS2 version of KOF: Orochi Saga was inferior to the Wii version because it was developed for the Wii and the PS2 port was quick and dirty. I'm pretty sure SS Anthology is being done by the same folks, so I plan to stick with the Wii version.

AFAIK the PS2 version is the same as the Jap version, which is not developed by Terminal Reality and should fare just as well as the FF/AoF/WH anthologies.
The PSP version is developed by TR, since it has no Japanese release to be based on, and all initial impressions of it suck.
Amazon shipped my PS2 copy yesterday...so it's definitely released.

Yeah it released already which is good news..

Got mine today. Terminal Reality is listed in the Credit section of the manual for those interested. May take me a while to get around to playing it.

The people who made the BloodRayne games.
They also fucked up SNK Arcade Classics (missing sounds, missing frames, uneven gameplay speed or even half gameplay speed), Metal Slug Anthology (button delays) and KOF Orochi Saga (fucked up sounds, no arrange music options).
You can probably tell why I won't be buying the game - at least not at full price.
Pretty much every Neo-Geo-to-PS2 port or collection has SOMETHING wrong with it, pretty much, no matter who made it, SNK, Terminal Reality, whoever. For some reason, nobody just seems able to quite get Neo-Geo emulation working 100% on the PS2... it's not just that developer.
Got mine from Amazon today. For me, a perfect emulation could be found wrong by some die hard Neo Geo fans. I played mine today and found it a very worthy purchase at a mere $18 and some change shipped to my door. One thing it has on it that is not found on the Neo Geo is Samurai Showdown VI, and I would have gladly paid $20 for that alone. This comp is great, and would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the series. There will be people who will find problems with the emulation, but I am not one of them and I am a person who owns several AES Samurai Showdown carts(including SSV special). To play these games on a crisp HDTV is nice. I was using a Street Fighter Anniversary Stick and control was excellent. I found the bang for the buck as compelling enough to look over some little things. Hands down my pick for my favorite comp title they have done.

Actually, the ones that G1M2 made (AOF, Fatal Fury Anthology 1,2, Garou, NeoGeo Battle Colosseum, KOF XI, and World Heroes Anthology - and all the Japan-only releases) are pretty much perfect. They play fine, and have no game-crippling problems. You try playing Last Resort when half the fucking sprites are not shown due to improper flickering.
It's Terminal Reality who can't code for shit. I've been burned twice by them. I love SNK, but I don't understand why they keep hiring them after all the complaints they got with SNK Arcade Classics and Orochi Saga PS2.

Did G1M2 make those releases? They're an American company, so I was under the impression that they were largely responsible for localization rather than development. They're not credited in, for instance, the PAL NGBC manual.
Since I've actually heard decent things about the Samurai Shodown collection, and it uses the Japanese NeoGeo Collection menu, my guess would be that Terminal Reality actually just did a straight localization of the Japanese collection this time rather than developed their own. (But they did develop the PSP version, which didn't come out in Japan - I've heard that's horrible!)
