So, I assume you are complaining...say...at the site that is hosting the contest?

Worst worst gamefaqs contest thread ever

I found a way to improve it...

Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

I know what the outcome will be...once again, it will be a faceoff between Final Fantasy 7 and Legend of Zelda. It's ALWAYS those two games.
Damn rabid fanboys.

Resident Evil 5 isn't on the list? Yah this contest does suck.

Then there's the bracket entry where you get to guess how good you are at what games they're going to pick.
Well. The round one battlers I got everything correct except Donkey Kong(which I think many of them haven't played and are only voting for due to the character.) So I missed Donkey Kong(I put Mike Tyson's Punch-Out.)
Then with round 2. I missed Sonic. I got Street Fighter 2 right, but Sonic? I chose Castlevania 3 which is far better. Then I didn't get Secret of Monkey Island because I chose Super Tecmo Bowl. First off I guarantee 99% of these people didn't even play Secret of Monkey Island, and Tecmo Super Bowl is an awesome game. What the fuck is wrong with these people?
Well. So far I only missed three. But then I looked at the next bracket. Damn I fucked up. When I originally made the list I saw "Final Fantasy II." I didn't really take notice to the (IV.) Instead, I chose Mega Man 3(which again was my personal favorite in that listing) and River City Ransom(another favorite in the listing.) I guess I'm not so good at jumping on the fanboy bandwagon and picking only the most well known games.
OP - I'm kind of with you there. These contests are getting kind of old...they take 1-2 months and the winner is always FF7 vs. OOT, or Link vs. Cloud.
It was cool to see L-block win once though. :P
Cool, another GameFAQ's contest I can totally ignore!
I did like the bacon version though. Mmmmmm...bacon.

What's gamefaqs?
For what it's worth, it is a pretty good resource for finding out general data on a game and for checking out box art and screen shots. I've been able to get some info and images on obscure imports that I can't find anywhere else. There are also some well-written reviews among the sea of dreck if you know where to look, although most have migrated over to Honestgamers. And some of the game-specific board communities aren't bad since you can find people discussing games that aren't talked about elsewhere, although I generally stick to the Japan-exclusives as they tend to attract an older crowd.
Yeah, the message boards on that site are seriously awful. It's like a censored 4chan.
Whenever there's a Gundam game I like that ends up coming out, I usually post on those boards frequently(even credited in an Encounters in Space faq.) It's not all bad. Though yeah, the majority is a little bit bad. If you ask me, low profile game specific boards are the only ones worth going to, but usually go dead after a couple months of the game being out, depending on the game.
