Im pissed about the Beta VCR though. I collect Beta and its the first Beta vcr I have found since 2006. It doesnt work and the tape it chewed is visible on top of the vcr in the above photos. I wonder how rare it is to find a V-Saturn in North America.

Autobots. Roll out.
I hit up the Hollywood Video promotion and found the following:
-Rainbow Six Vegas (360)-$5, This game was complete with instruction manual and original green Xbox case.
-GTA 4 (360)-$5, Only the disc and rental case.
-Excitetruck (Wii)-$5, Only the disc and rental case.
-Bioshock (360)-$5, Only the disc and rental case.
The RSV and GTA 4 are for some friends that wanted them. The Excitetruck and Bioshock are for my collection. They also had some other good titles. The only downside was that some of the games they had there were faded due to the sunlight.
got a complete boxed collectors edition set of tom clancy rainbow six games pc at salvation army for only 2.99. the box is a bit worn but everything inside looked almost untouched, the games look like they were maybe used once ever. i was happy
opps posted this in the june finds too by mistake lol, my bad
What is a VS saturn?
The V-Saturn was manufactured by Victor/JVC. Hitachi also had an iteration of the Saturn on the market called the Hi-Saturn. According to Wiki, there was also a version manufactured by Samsung for the South Korean market.
That is definitely a nice find and for only $10, that's a steal and a half.
"Ai Oboete Imasu Ka?"
eBay find - $128 PSP 2000 like new with AV, car charger, flip cover, and double UMD case. Did the Sampler Vol 1 come with this pack, or is that an odd little bonus?
I find it odd that it was at FW5.51. The listing said that the guy's father owned it, and he "buys the latest electronics and lets them sit in boxes, his addiction is your advantage." This isn't a recent model, so it must have been booted up recently to install 5.51. Everything was included, all packing and manuals, etc. AV cable was packed like it had never been removed, twisty-tie intact (not shown, it's on my retrogaming TV now).
At any rate, this is a HUGE upgrade over my original. Screen is pristine, all the buttons work (long story there...), both speakers work (yet another story...), and I love the size and construction. PS1 emulation over AV looks amazing, and I'm tempted to use it over my PSX. I use my PSP for PS1 emulation more than anything else anyway, so I'm happy.
I picked up an NES Advtange, Super Mario Bros, Contra, and this other game (made by LJN so it's crap) for $25 off Craigslist. Game labels are in great shape and they came with dust jackets.
Nice morning for me. The gun and everything to the left of it was from the first thrift I stopped at.
Mario Kart 64 Hologram box: .60
Zelda MM, SSB, Harvest Moon 64: 3.80 ea.
Escape from Monkey Island: .80
FFIX disc 2 and also in the bag is Azure Dreams (is why I bought it): 1.40
DS Lite ac adapter: 2.95
SNES a/v: 2.95
aftermarket wireless NES light gun: 2.95 (had corroded batteries in it. Metal bits look okay, but there is a rattle in it... not yet tested)
Dark Sector: 2.51 after I used a $5 Blockbuster gift card. (I almost never go to Blockbuster, so just wanted to use it up)
Wheel of Fortune Jr. Ed.: 4.99 (pretty steep, but standard price at my GW. Been a while since I've added a game to my NES collection, so I splurged)
Chicken Run: 1.99 at savers (got it cause it is mint)
2600 G.I. Joe and Entombed: 1.99 ea. Overpaid at SA, I don't know my vcs rarities well enough
ActionMax Hydrosub 2021: 1.95 (first time i've seen one of these in the wild, this is a dupe, so if anyone wants it at cost you can have it).
First find in awhile:
Resident Evil Code: Veronica X (PS2) - 5th Anniv. edition with DMC bonus disc
Resident Evil Outbreak (PS2)
Fight Club (Xbox)
Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball (Xbox)
Amped 2 (xbox)
Street Sk8er 2 (PS1)
Syphon Filter (PS1)
All are in great shape and complete. And the great thing about hunting at Half Price Books is that you can also pick up:
Jimi Hendrix "Electric Ladyland" - original Reprise edition from 1968! In beautiful shape, but if it originally came with liner notes on the LP sleeves, they are gone replaced with plain white ones.
All of this stuff was under $25

Went to the Salvation Army thrift store today and picked up an extra TV to hook some retro consoles up to for ten bucks. Also picked up 2 Dreamcast games, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and South Park Chef's Love Shack, $1.99 each. Also, was pretty happy to see a Rocko's Modern Life VHS so I got that as well for $.49.
I was a little disappointed at the Salvation Army because the VHS was the only thing I was excited about, so I decided to hit up another local thrift store. When I first walked in I saw a bunch of VHSs and a few DVDs so I started looking around when I stumbled upon My Neighbor Totoro on DVD for $1. That find made my day. Both discs look pristine and the case is in good shape too.

Meant to add some things I passed on, namely a crapload of Laserdiscs. I jotted down a bunch to see if my FiL would want some or if any are sought after. None were worth going back for (priced 1.95 to 10), but if I'm nearby again I'll check for the Star Wars.
Star Wars Trilogy Collector's Edition (all 3 in their separate cases, and 5 each)
Princess Bride
Close Encounters
2001
2010
Superman
Patton
Predator
Ghostbusters
The Crow
Nixon
Butch Cassidy...
Jurassic Park
Chinatown
Star Trek VI
Raiders ot Lost Ark
12 Monkeys
Aliens Special Widescreen Collector's
T2 Special Ed.
Abyss SE
Back to the Future II
Bunch of great movies. Kind of makes me wish I was into Laser Disc, but I'm just not.
They also had a TRS-80 Level II instructional tape set. Passed on a Yellow brick GB (play it loud, I presume) at 6.80. Green 1st party DC controller for 2.95 is one I probably should have picked up, but didn't.
Ah the Star Wars Laserdisc, the only way (that I know of) to view the deleted scenes.
