Default Looking for working Atari 2600 console....no cords needed

(except for the cord that is hardwired to the console, heh heh)

The last Atari I had worked PERFECTLY (no static in the picture, no fuzz in the sound) except....no controller would work. I cleaned the ports several times, tried a Genesis controller, etc. but it wouldn't work. So I threw it out. I kept the AC adapter, RF box, etc. so I just need the console itself.

I KNOW someone one here has to have a spare....^_^

    YOU THREW IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

    You...you....NON COLLECTOR!!!!!!!

    AAAAAHHHHHHH!H!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

Shit, that could've been fixed. Probably wouldn't have been too hard to fix it either, just open it up and re-solder a couple wires, maybe replace the connectors. Woulda been a 1 hour or less job, probably no more that $3 in parts.

    You make me sick!

RacconLad is right. I have a spare working 4 switch woodgrain. Got anything to trade? I collect all things console. I would have taken the busted one as part of a trade you know.... :P

    I'm after:

A Sega CD unit (no genny)
a SMS light Phaser that works (mine don't)
    a TG16 CD expansion or TG16 software

Just to give you an idea.

Yes, I know Raccoon Lad is right. After I read that message, I found a rusty letter opener and carved "NON-COLLECTOR" into my forehead.

Anyway, I have an SMS light phaser to trade...

Any chance you have something else you could toss in? I'm fairly new to collecting, and don't have a fair number of ColecoVision or NES or SMS commons. ( I have CV Donkey Kong, NES SMB/DH, and SMS Hang-on/SH =))

What I usually do with Atari's I find is hold onto 'em until I get original sticks and paddles, toss in some commons, fix it all up, and sell it on E-bay at a premium. All on it's own, the Atari isn't worth a helluva lot, but I'd likely be satsified with some commons tossed into the deal. You could even try me with some Atari commons, but I already have 60 carts, mainly commons.

It works great and is in excellent cosmetic condition. Say the word, and I'll take a 1024X768 digi pic an e-mail it to whatever addy you say. I already have a broken Light Phaser, so please make sure it works if you can.

I have Space Panic, Venture, Mr. Do and Pepper II available for the Colecovision. Don't have much NES or SMS to trade currently (except for that light phaser ^_^)

I guess I'd be willing to let the Atari go for a working light phaser, and those Coleco carts. I live in Canada though. What you'd be shipping would be light, and likely pretty cheap. Pain in the ass customs form, but if we mark items as "gift", likely no duty either way.
