Default value of a Shrek Edition GBA SP

I saw a green and orange model at a Gamestop, it was a bit beat up and had a desd pixel on the screen, they still sell for $39.99. I saw one on Ebay for $50+ with some accessories that sold. Is it worth picking these up and how many/few were sold, is it rare?
If they made a movie out of your top five worst sins, what would it be rated?

I bought and sold one about a year ago. It maybe went on the high side of what a regular GBASP can sell for, but nothing special, really. That is, I think I sold it for 40 with a generic game, which I've also sold regular SPs for. They seem to go for 30-40, and it all just depends on your patience. 30 or less will go quick, 40 you may have to wait a while. This pricing has been quite stable for several years now, although I'd say it has really gotten harder to get the high end of that lately. All this is talking local sales on CL, I haven't sold them online.

The newer models sell easier, as do CIB ones (they make better gifts). I'd say the box would be especially important for added value from a special edition like yours because collectors are the only people who really care, most SPs are just to keep kids occupied/replace the one they lost/broke.
