Yeah, could be. I do notice that they're not real quick about getting their backstock out to the floor. They have quite a stack of games behind the buy counter that never seem to make it on the floor quick enough. Who knows, they're probably all just PS2 sports games anyway.

Goodwill dock sale again and all I can say is WOW!!!
I've never seen so many electronics stuff at this sale before. 5-6 giant boxes of stuff.
I spent $58 on a some stuff and got an Alesis AirFX Theremin effects processor, a Boss chromatic tuner, a bunch of CB/HAM radio stuff, A big bag of electronics parts with potentiometers, toggle switches, and what looks to be like 50 old computer/radio/electronics chips, a HD-DVD player, a stock Nissan car stereo, and as I was walking to check out I found a Bose AVS3-2-1 Media Center on top of a box of junk. I also got a lot more but I'm currently going through it all. The Alesis AirFX is quite a find, it should be worth something like $75-100 if it works and the Bose Media Center is worth $40 if it's broken and probably around $125 if it works.
No video game stuff though, but I don't see too much of a problem with that.

Picked up three gameboy games in a baggie at value village for 4.99. There were mega man zero and dragon ball z (the card game one) for gba and some looney tunes collector alert game for gbc. It was nice because they usually have every gameboy out there at 4.99 or 6.99 by itself and then I have to wait for half price or dollar day sales.
In the first thrift I hit I came across a plastic bag filled with mostly Atari cartridges. Only cost $1.99.
E.T.
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Super Breakout
Decathlon
Pac-Man
Baseball (Odyssey2)
Flash Gordon
Space Robot (cool!)
Later on, I came across another baggie filled with 13 loose Saturn CDs. Again, only $1.99.
Croc
WWF In Your House
Madden 97
Myst
Mortal Kombat 3
NHL 97
Daytona USA
Virtua Fighter 2
Bases Loaded '96
Nights Sampler
Nights Into Dreams
Clockwork Knight
Die Hard Arcade
Was rainy today, so not many sales. I did get some cool non-gaming stuff.
Attention music nerds you will like what you're about to read:
I bought 2 Beatles albums, Rubber Soul, and Sgt. Pepper's LHCB thinking they were 8-tracks. Turns out they're Muntz 4-tracks and they're worth a lot of money! Yay! I also got a copy of Yoko & John's Live Peace Concert in Toronto in 1969. It has a very basic black & white label that looks completely different from a usual example of this concert on 8-track. Looks like somthing "OMG BBQ RAREZ!1!1!!!1".
I also got a really cool Bontempi B1 toy organ (w/original box). This might go with my keyboard setup. It's so cool and 70s-ish.
I also got one of these. Looks neat enough.

That is one... very unfortunate name they chose for that piano thiing.
Nothing in the line of classic gaming, but I did bring my 360 game collection up at EBgames/Gamestop:
Tom Clancy's Endwar - $4.99 (used)
Project Sylpheed - $4.99 (used)
Call of Juarez - $4.99 (used)
Prey - $4.99 (used)
The Club - $4.99 (used)
Mirror's Edge - Free! (new)
Dead Space - $19.99 (used)
Dragon Age LE - $79.99 (new)
Lego Rock Band - $59.99(new)
Majority of those were bought on credit...Mirror's Edge was free due to them not ringing up my Edge card correctly and didn't take the credit off of it. Ah well. lol. Oh and nabbed one more 360 game at a video rental chain that had 50% off its clearance games:
Tomb Raider Underworld - $5.25 (new)
Grand total of actual monies spent: $15ish. Yay me.
... Gah, I didn't want to get anything (ie to spend any more money), but I was in the Salvation Army store for the first time in a while, and WOAH. They'd recently agotten in a LOT of older PC games, including MANY great ones. All at $3 each. Unfortunately whoever sold them was ripping them off with a bunch of the boxed games, many of which were missing their discs (either the jewelcase was just gone, there was no disc in the case, one disc of the game's three was missing, etc), but even though that's disappointing, there were lots of jewelcase-only games too, all with their discs and everything. I got a bunch of those, and I think there are more I have to get... I may not want to spend this much money, but you get an opportunity like this you simply can't skip it. I'd regret it for so long if I did...
Anyway, for about $40 ($3 each), this is what I got. All PC games of course, and all jewelcase-only.

Myth: The Total Codex
Outwars
Motorhead
Blackthorne CD-ROM
Rise of the Triad: Dark War
Outcast
The Beast Within (Gabriel Knight 2)
Full Throttle
Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail!
Return to Zork
Fallout 2
Final Doom
Jazz Jackrabbit 2
... Yeah, amazing stuff. And there are lots more I'm seriously considering going back for... but first this. They were going to just throw out the boxed games which were missing their CDs, so I asked for a couple of the boxes and they gave them to me. So, I also got these two for free, with no game discs included of course. They're both the old-style full-size PC game boxes. You know, the good kind.
MechWarrior 2 - original DOS version. Complete with all manuals, advertising paperwork, the jewelcase, etc... just the actual disc is missing. Awesome stuff even without it though!
Wizardry Gold - box with manual and warranty card. Wizardry Gold is an upgraded version of Wizardry 7. I have a disc-only version of Wizardry 7, so I thought this would be worth it anyway... and classic PC game manuals are usually important. This has a good thick manual.
Some of the (many) other games they had that I didn't get yet but am considering getting soon include...
Jewelcase only (that is the ones actually guaranteed to have discs in them): Duke Nukem 3D Plutonium Pack (the expansion; I have the original, but not this); EarthSiege; StarSiege; X-Car; HyperDrome; Fury3; Dragon's Lair (MPEG ed.); Temujin; MDK; Panzer Dragoon; Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six; Silent Thunder: A-10 Tank Killer 2; Beavis & Butthead in Virtual Stupidity (actually a quality adventure game from what I've heard of it, though I don't care about the show so it's probably not worth it); Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far; Cyberia; Dark Reign; Star Wars: Force Commander; WarGames; Harvester; and more...
For the boxed games, and yes these are complete, Prince of Qin (small box) and Space Bunnies Must Die (large box).
As for boxed games that I didn't have time to check for discs, there are some I']d like to do that for... MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries (small box), Painkiller (small box), a collection of 4 Star Trek games (New Worlds, Starfleet Academy, the Starfleet Academy addon (Chekov's Lost Missions), and Starfleet Command), and the Starfleet Command: Orion Pirates expansion (sealed and unopened, this should be complete!). Maybe also check the collection box with SimCity 2000, Streets of SimCity, and SimCopter, not sure about that one.
... Hmm, what else should I get...

I believe that those Star Trek games are worth a lot on eBay. I'd get them.
Finally got my car back today and checked out the local Goodwill. Didn't really see anything except a really large Game Boy Color carrying case. Looks just like a GBC and it opens up to hold games and such. Pretty cool and big.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned for Sega. - Brodie Bruce
Tomb Raider: Anniversary for the PS2 arrived today...I paid about $10 for it. This is the first video game I've bought this year, believe it or not.
Boy, no kidding! I second the NICE comment. Was this a Craigslist deal or what??
Today I went to a Half Price books just for the heck of it and found:
Virtual Boy lot! WOO HOO! I've always wanted one, but have never seen one in the wild, and the only ones I've seen in local shops are always $79 - $100+. Included in the lot:
Virtual Boy - works perfect
Stand - no cracks, works great
controller - perfect
Power supply
Mario Tennis game
Wario Land game
Teleroboxer game
2 dustcovers for the games
This lot was bagged up to be sold as a lot only and was $49.98. I got home and noticed the black visor part was missing, making this less than perfect. I'm wondering if the price was good enough to keep the lot and just look for a loose visor, or return it and find a complete lot. Again, I haven't been pricing these much on ebay or here lately, so I just jumped on it! Are the visors available and does anyone have one to sell/trade??
______________________________________
I have a virtual boy without a visor as well. After looking around for awhile, I found that any visors that are out there are sold with the Virtual Boy they're attached to, or being sold at some ridiculous price. There exist guides on how to make your own, but I found that not having the visor doesn't "enhance" gameplay that much anyways. Still, I think you got a nice deal for $50.
After toying with that iMac that I found a couple of weeks ago, I've decided that its flyback transformer is fried. If I had the part, I could fix it, but I don't. So, I could spend about $50 (or up) to buy a new flyback (if I can find one) and go through a very pain-in-the-ass install; buy a $100 power/video board and install that (slightly less of a pain-in-the-ass), or just return the iMac to the trashpile I found it in. Hmm, though decision there.
So, since I still feel the need to get some sort of Mac to play with, I went back to where I found the iMac and fished out a Mac IIci, a Mac LC, a mouse, and a monitor.
The Mac IIci already has a video card, an unknown amount of upgraded RAM, and the harddrive was upgraded to 450MB. Just need L2 cache and an ethernet card and I'm good to go. Seems to be working, but more on that later.
The LC might be working, but I seem to be having video issues with it. It has what looks like a math co-processor installed in the PDS slot, I have to look it up later. I'll probably give this one away for little or nothing it it works, if it doesn't, I'll strip it for parts and back to the pile it goes.
Now about the IIci. It boots, and begins loading the operating system, but then an error pops up (PDS FPU something something, hold shift and restart). Unfortunately, I don't have a Mac keyboard, and as I just found out:
I can't even just make a simple converter cable, since Mac's encode the keys differently than PC keyboards; now I have to track down a Mac keyboard, which likely means paying over $20 for one, just to get a free computer working. Sigh, cause I just need a reason to hate Macs.
The Virtual Boy stand alone I would pay $50 for.
