I own an X-Box and PS2 (among other older consoles). How long do you think it'll be before they're dumping Game Cubes near $50?
It seems that very few people own them as it is.

Don't hold your breath for $50, but now that the free GB player/game promo is over you might see another price drop before the holidays, maybe $99?Originally Posted by CueWarrior
Selling collection, Atari through XBox. Send a PM with whatever games you're looking for.
When the next gen consoles come out, the current gen consoles will be $50, simple as that. Dates all the way back to the NES at least..

Huh? There are a million more people with Xboxes in the US than there are Gamecubes. In Japan, it's a different story, but the Xbox is way more popular in America than the 'Cube.Originally Posted by hezeuschrist

Don't worry about the German, guys, I just made fun about you Americans, that's all.
I would not say ever because I am sure the price will go down that low but not anytime soon maybe in like 3 or more years maybe is my best guess.Originally Posted by hezeuschrist

In related news, holy shit:
The GBA tops the Japanese sales charts this week, while the GameCube ekes out a victory over the PS2.
According to Bloomberg Japan and research company Media Create, Nintendo's GameCube outsold the PlayStation 2 last week in Japan by a margin of 300 units.
Holy crap. I know the PS2 already has a much wider and decidedly massive install base, but wow.
I noticed that also.
There's a good article in this months's GMR (I think that's the name -- the magazine that EB is affliated with) about Nintendo and what they are doing.
I don't really think this means much, but reports indicate the GC is defentily outselling Microsoft in both Japan and Europe.
If Nintendo can increase third party production of games, continue to push ahead with their new ideas and games, get their new console and replacement out for the GBA ahead of anyone else, and expand into market areas that Sony has'nt allready dominated, and Nintendo can get right back on top to give Sony a run for it's monty and destroy Microsoft's console division (which is draining money away from the company -- we'll see what happens next year).
