How is it possible to call established members of a gaming forum trolls when you have 9 posts? Are you new to the internet?
To me it sounds like you posted a question that you know people wouldn't take seriously, so you can then mock their knowledge of video games.
Yeeehaw, I hit the motherload. I have one sitting at home. I can possibly sell it on ebay for $1 mil and get everything I need to bring my classic gaming collection up to par.
Or, perhaps, a lot of the veteran members of this forum (like most gaming forums) are jaded and moved by some fraternal impulse to mock and/or ridicule a new member who asked what could well be a legitimate (if not popular) question.
I don't know if he/she was genuinely curious or not, but I'd rather be hospitable and give them the benefit of the doubt than go the paranoid/elitist nerd route. I've often wondered how many of this and other pack-in titles were produced as well, after all -- especially with the stories of those superfluous ET catridges for the 2600.
Whether it was a troll attempt (which I'm not so quick to assume) or not, it's hardly an unreasonable question/curiosity.
It wasn't intended as paranoid/elitist. Sorry if we came off that way though. It's all in good humor.

Yeah, I apologize for riling everyone up. I meant nothing personal towards anyone, BetaWolf. So sorry if it seemed so. (Even you can admit, though, that some of those jokes are very poor.)
For an honest answer:
Guiness World Records states 40.23million for Super Mario Bros. pack-in:

I'm not sure if that's accounting for Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt, just the original game, or for all variants.
Maybe if Pancake Bunny posted something as simply as "Actually I'm serious does anyone know?" Instead of the "pulling figures out of your ass" confrontational tone that he/she took, it could have turned out differently.
I'll bet that if the OP was more along the lines of:
...instead of just a bunch of symbols, it would have been taken more seriously. Is it any wonder there are so many joke posts before any real answer? It seems like most everyone read it the same way.I've often wondered how many of this and other pack-in titles were produced as well, after all -- especially with the stories of those superfluous ET catridges for the 2600.

I'm thinking the OP probably was hoping that the figures were mentioned in a book or interview or something.
