To be honest it looks good to me. Looks like Sonic 3 (or was it Sonic and Knuckles) where you can use that charge attack in mid-air, and seems to concentrate on speed rather than throwing a whole bunch of obstacles in your way. It doesn't look too difficult, there's little in the way of enemies it seems or maybe just because it's an early level. The presentation isn't great looking, but as long as the game play is there...
I would give it a shot when it comes out. I haven't seriously played a Sonic game since SA2 and one of the Game Cube ones, I forget what it's called (probably goes to show how I thought of it. Heh).
