GC Component cables are $5 at GC!? Time for some snooping. And nice haul! The lighted signage, pure win, even if it stopped there IMO.

Stopped by Value Village today and picked up the following for $25
Slightly dirtied and scuffed SNES with cables and one controller.
Cart only Killer Instinct and Legend of Zelda: LTTP.
Boxed Ultimate Quake 3-game pack.
Unfortnately Zelda does not work. I tried cleaning the contacts with rubbing alcohol and that still did nothing. I think something might be wrong with the circuit board.

In no way video game related, but I thought that I'd share since I am happy about it. Was at my local Target and due to the now warm weather needed to pick up some R134 to recharge the A/C in my car. Went to the auto section and they had one brand there for $10.49 a can which is normal. Then next to it they had another brand for $1.81 a can. That is how it was marked on the shelf so I scanned one and sure enough it was right. I grabbed all 6 cans that they had.

Big fun today (but expensive...) Picked up all of this stuff at different stores:
Toys R Us:
Battlefield Bad Company 2 (360) new
Uncharted 2 (PS3) new
Used some credit along with the Buy1 Get 1 Half off deal, so these cost me about $58 after tax. Not bad.
Half Price Books:
Dante's Inferno (PS3) Divine Edition, $29.99
Movie Trading Co:
Worms Armageddon (DC)
Sega Marine Fishing (DC)
Tomb Raider Chronicles (DC)
4x4 Evolution (DC)
Zool (Genesis) complete
Big Hurt Baseball (Saturn)
Sega WW Soccer 97 (Saturn)
Thunderstrike (SCD) not pictured
Tee Off (DC) not pictured
Used their B2G1 free sale to pick up some stuff, but it turns out I already have Thunderstrike and Tee Off, so those will go back and I'll find something else to get instead. Got all this for about $35.
Thrift Store:
2 Genesis controllers - $.95 each
High Frequency brand Genesis controller - $.95
Activision Plug N Play - $2.43
Also picked up 15 nice old LP's at the thrift for .95 each as well - including lots of Cheap Trick, the Ventures, foghat, The Guess Who, and the soundtracks to Tommy and Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Man, this has been a WEIRD week.
First off, please don't laugh.
Both items were $2 each. The Ultimate Band CD... isn't a CD. I thought it would have real audio tracks but instead it's got MP3 recordings of the in-game songs plus the intro and a trailer. That kinda sucked. But at least the songs aren't that bad... they're passable.
I went around the flea market and found nothing, so then I went to some of the booths that were barely setting up when I got there in the morning. I was looking at some boxes with DVDs when I noticed a Railroad Tycoon box. This was the original release, so I kept digging. I found tons of old games but only picked out the following:
Many are 5 1/4 floppy versions, though. But Maniac Mansion, Ultima Trilogy and Mines of Titan may be worth a lot to the right seller... He wanted $20 but he lowered the price to $18 for all. Among the games I left behind were a Leisure Suit Larry game, a couple of Police Quest ones, The Dark Half (I wanted this for myself, but it was a 5.25" version, AGH!) I'm going back there tomorrow to see if anything else popped up.
And the seller told me that someone else hunts for the same stuff I do. Including Commodore 64 stuff. I think I might have missed out on a few valuable things to this guy, who owns a used game booth at the flea market. He's kind of a dick.

Not a 'find', but I purchased this off of my buddy today:
E.V.O. The Search for Eden (SNES) - CIB, pretty mint condition; even has the registration card!
He didn't need it because he can emulate it anyways. I offered $65 and he took it. Kinda high, but far cheaper than anything on ebay, and he's a good friend, so I'm not gonna lowball him (I did tell him about the ebay prices). Plus he gave me a boxed Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for xmas many years ago!

So I went around shopping today and felt I made out okay.
My first stop was the Salvation Army. I passed on a copy of Metroid Prime that besides looking very worn on the outside, seemed to be okay on the inside. I also passed on an Animaniacs PC game simply because I forgot to ask for it.
What I got:
Quarterback (NES) - $1.45
PSone (2nd model PlayStation) + A Bug's Life - $10
Quarterback I got simply because of the cover art with Jon Elway.
I've been wanting a PSone for a while now, so I was happy to find it for so cheap. It came with everything and was in okay condition and worked fine when I tested it out. The controller was extremely beat up though, but I figure I can find a new one or just use my other PSX controllers. A Bug's Life was in the console and I even offered to let them take it as I already had a copy, they didn't seem to want it though.
I also stopped at another pawn shop that I've never been to before. It turned out to be a big bust as everything was way overpriced in terms of games.
I have a sig?
That *looks* a bit like a TAC joystick. Does it have the same feel?
Today started out very crappy. First two advertised sales had no sign of any sales going on at all. I hate that, and Garage Sale season is just starting here, so advertised sales are the only ones to go on, you don't just happen across sales quite yet. 3rd one sucked, and 4th was fine as far as sales go, but didn't find anything to buy.
Then we stopped by my favorite thrift (Unique) and found the following, plus today was 25% off with my snazzy membership card.
Grand total was $15.57. Thought the Game.com modem (sealed) was pretty cool. This is the place that I've recently found an un-priced system (so they wouldn't sell it to me) and some CIB games, so they must've gotten in a big collection and it all just came out at different times.
Then I happened to search CL at the right time, and snagged this GC lot a few minutes ago for $20.
Wavebird is grungy and no receiver, but it powers on fine and I'll test it a little later. RE if is in really nice shape, and of course, I'd love to have a crate full of these component cables.
EZ Pawn:
Boom Blox - $10
Mario Super Sluggers - $10
Pokemon Yellow cart only - $1
It's been an ok week not great but here's what i got
(I got some of these things before April but I don't want to bump the March thread just for that.)
I went to the flea market last Saturday they didn't have much but at one both I found a demo for Mercenaries for ps2 and the soundtrack for Call of Duty 3 i got both for a totall of $3 after that I went to my local thrift store and bought a ps1 for $5.
On wednesday I went to my local thrift store again and found a copy of Spirited Away (VHS) for $1 then later that day I went to Target and got Infamous for $40 (not a great deal but i've wanted this game for a while now)
Thursday was my birthday so I got as gifts from my parents Yoshi's Island DS and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games (I know it doesn't seem like much but my main gift is that my parents are sending me to driving school to get my license) the rest of what I got was money. later that day I took some of that money to game stop and got Lux-Pain and Indigo Prophecy for $9 each.
and finally today I got Overlord II at Sam's Club for $10.
Nice mail day today and finds.
The N64 games were from a trade in at Estarland, traded a bunch of extra junk for them.

What a surprise! Price sticker on label sticker action for 3 of the 4 SNES games. I'll never understand why it's so hard to just affix the stickers on the non label part of the carts.
"Ai Oboete Imasu Ka?"
Guy walks in to my PC shop and says he has some Nintendo stuff for sale. I tell him to bring it in... usually people see my sign about buying Nintendo NES and they'll bring in a beat up N64 or something.
This guy walks in with 131 NES games, these cool holders, and manuals for ALL the games!!
Offered him $100, he took it.
Some GREAT titles in there too! Going to keep what I need and sell the rest.
There are some very nice items in there. I see a Blue Bible Adventures sitting in that pile, along with Godzilla.
Picked up the following from Play-N-Trade today before getting called into work. I had plans today that included raiding a local import shop that's closing down...but that's not going to happen
Dreamcast
Centipede - $5
Seventh Cross: Evolution - $5
Saturn
Croc - $10
Misc
Breath of Mana (Dawn of Mana Soundtrack) - ???
Picked up a couple of other things that I can't recall atm because I'm at work. I'll edit the post once I head back.
