Yeah, that made my day for sure! Thanks!
This April seems to be the month for amazing finds. I hope we can keep this momentum going well into summer!
All I found today was a boxed Texas Instruments Speak & Math and a Tomy Pocket Arcade game, Attack In Space. It's a wind-up non-electronic handheld game, with a little crack in the front plastic. $1.99 for each.
There's an electronics junk store near me that had a sister location with a Timex Sinclair 2068, boxed, in their little computer museum shelf. When that location closed, all their stock went to the main store, but I never saw that T/S 2068 again, until today. It was sitting in a shopping cart full of old junk, so I grabbed it and asked an employee how much it was. He went to check in the back if they were going to try and sell it on eBay, then announced that it's 'on hold' until they can figure out how much to price gouge me for. Damn, I hate that place. I have no idea how they stay in business. That's the same store that had heaps of copies of QIX for the Atari Lynx, new, for $1.99. So I went there before a classic game convention to pick up a few to give out, since some of us were going to bring our Lynxes and have some multiplayer fun. And when I got to the store, they were re-pricing them all for $9.99 each. They've pretty much got all of them still there, except a lot more beat up from years of mishandling. Bastards.

All I got today was a CIB copy of Boxing Legends of the Ring for the Genesis for a buck.
Oh, and that plastic Log thing.
Dangit. T_T
Couldn't resist - had to hit the Thrift Store today:
Golden Tee: Home Version - plug n play $4
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Xbox) - $3.93
Shark Tale (Xbox) - $4.93
Turns out I already have the Charlie game, and this store is no returns...ugh..

Wow Kisuragi that’s quite the “Room of Doom”!
**Walks in, trips over power cord, falls to the floor, Atari 2600 joystick pierces forehead**
Room of Doom, indeed!

I can't fit it all in that room either, man! At least, not yet...I have 1 full white shelf in my bedroom, another room with TVs and loose consoles in a closet, and my Steeplechase cabinet with a few boxed consoles stacked on it. I also have a few other shelves in my living room along with a plastic bin with controllers in it. I have a picture of the cabinet in one of the arcade threads with my cat sleeping on it.
I've got a picture of what the cabinets actually look like filled somewhere, so I'll see if I can't drag that up and toss it in the forum tonight. Everyone like the nightly pictures? I've got a ton more I can keep tossing up.
...yeah, I'm working on getting a house. The reason isn't space, not at all.
Right, Deadman?
Boxing Legends Of The Ring was from yesterday.
Mario Is Missing and the PS2 Memory Card were $4 total. It's missing the blue card, but the stickers are there, and the Red Memory Card card is unused.
The DVD guy was back again, so I picked up one more movie - Takeshi Kitano's Brother, and a game - PS2 Celebrity Deathmatch. $6 total.
And I have a little story about DVD guy.
I noticed him setting up so I went to see what was left after last Sunday. While I was browsing the stuff on his table, an American lady (I'd say around 45-50 years old) shows up and asks how much does each DVD cost. So he replies, "$3". And the lady, well... gets mad and leaves. And says something about "downloading the movies instead." And there's this guy next to me and we stare at each other and go "No fucking way..." I couldn't believe someone would actually say that - let alone an American.
So I keep digging. Five minutes later another lady shows up and asks the same question. Same answer, $3. And she starts railing into the booth owner for selling them at such high prices, everyone else is selling them for $1, and he retorts that the discs are in mint condition (and they really are). She says she'll just go to RedBox and get the movies there. Really? Wow, just wow. It was crazy. SHE was crazy and so was that other woman.
Wow Kitsune... it sounds like they organized that attack. 2 people come up to whine about the prices, one right after the other? And they're cheap-asses at that.
