    Default Laseractive Usa Turbo Pak

    Holaloha Duders and Duderettes,
I'm trying find out what my options are around here, I was trying a couple of years ago to find out what I could really get for it and now I'm in a pickle and I really need the cash, so I'm giving it another shot.

I have a NEC "USA" Turbografx 16 LaserActive TurboDuo PAC, for use with The PIONEER LaserActive Laserdisc Players.

I was kinda depressed about it for a while because my Laseractive blew up before I could play any games on it and really wasn't sure if it still worked or not.

But to my avail, Last years Portland Retrogaming Expo Gave me a shot to try it out on a working unit and it worked great, loads Duo and and HuCards(US).
(I wish I could have bought that one, Friggen 80 Damn BUCKS I didn't have!!!!)

Now I can be confident selling it knowing it works.

The thing is I don't know if I should really just chip in and try to procure another system with a Sega PAC, so the package would be a little complete,
Or sell it to you if you already have all but the USA NEC PAC and your looking to complete your collection.

Can people give me a good estimate on the price and rarity of this item, I do believe it's one of the rarest turbografx versions, if not one of the rarest systems.

I have not seen any online in YEARS and the last time I did, it was like 500$.

If all of these left are in collections, then this is just begging to be with it's family, being all alone in a cold dead machine.

So, if anyone wants to buy it, or if anyone wants to sell me a laseractive unit with a sega pac, message me with offers.

or hell, if I do get a new system,
what would you pay for a LaserActive with both?(Sega and Turbo)

Thanks for listening to this entirely too long message, but I know your really interested because you read it all, so please give me your thoughts

If you need money I say sell it, no point in going broke.

I'd say expect to get $300-$400 for it. Good luck!

$300-$400 sounds about right. I picked one up CIB with the Pioneer branded controller and the CLD-A100 for around $650 a while back, but that was a great deal IMHO.

Since you have nothing else on LaserActive, it's simple, sell it. Unless you're planning to get back to the LaserActive addiction (which is unlikely even if you have the cash), no point keeping it as others have need/wish for your add-on.

Is OP of this seller on eBay? If so, it looks like he made the right decision. I got this Turbo Module 8 years ago for $500 along with main deck and Sega Genesis pak. It seems like there're enough interests of LaserActive (or laserdisc in bigger perspective) among collectors.

Rather funny that it sold so high. I sat there and looked at it when it had a $350 buy it now on it.

Yeah I was watching this auction too, earlier today it was sitting around 300. I came home from work tonight thinking i'd be able to snatch it up for 400. No idea why it's selling so high, definitely not worth that much imho.
