It's OK. Actually, it's pretty decent. I've played through it and it's doesn't compare to the NES versions. The graphics are nice, but the music is ear splitting (like most SMS music) and game/level design is only average compared to the NES ones. It is better than the arcade and GG versions, though.
Graphically, the pce version looks good but it's parallax scrolling can be rather jerky at times.Still the most advantage the nes version has over the pce version is the music.
I have find that Marble Madness is better on the Nintendo Entertainment System than the Sega Master System version of Marble Madness…
and personally, I find Space Harrier to be far better on the Turbo Grafx-16 while the Sega Master System version is lacking…
otherwise, Sega Master System is a console of wonderful and is being very underrate and underappreciated…
Why do you always post these this vs. that threads? I don't really see the point...
I did a couple of videos a long while back basically running through the exact same spots on both the Pc-Engine and Nes releases. Basically I edited both videos to match up as close as I could the story scenes and stages incase someone wanted to compare them.

I used to be pretty good at Ninja Gaiden, but now not so much, because I maybe only play it a couple of times every few years.
I like 'em, I also like NG on NES...but the NES was such a sucky system. you Yanks been had....
The music was questionable, the parallax scrolling was terrible, the Engrish translation was worse than normal, but all in all I don't regret giving the PC-Engine version a playthrough. The NES version is leaps and bounds ahead of it, though!
I picked up the PCE version awhile back, haven't played through it yet, it's on my list.
I did play it for a few minutes when I first got it, and the 'parallax' scrolling is REALLY annoying. I think Ys 3 for the SNES has a similar effect.
