I have found a few things lately, very little of it is interesting:

Well, at the only thrift around here that I've ever found TurboGrafx-16 games at in the past, I managed to find another batch of them. 8 in total, all $1.98 each. I actually don't have too many Turbo games, since I didn't buy many back in the day and now they're hard to locate second hand. I do have a few of these already, but I bought them anyway, since I was so excited that the games were still in the cases rather than stolen by the locals.

I picked up a copy of Elebits for the DS at my local Five Below for $5. Don't know why I did it. I still have tons of other games that I haven't played yet, including Panzer Dragoon Saga.

Asked about older video games at a sale that only had a few GameCube games out. As I was leaving the lady called me back and asked her son if he had anything and he brought out some N64 games he didn't play any more, made an offer of $5 for them.

This sale had a decent sized table with a bunch of PS2/PS1 games, probably about 50 games or a little more between both systems. Said $4 a game $10 for 3 and I think some other price if you bought more. I picked out these 3 and tried to do a little better since they were PS1 games but the lady said they were for her son that wasen't around and that he was trying to raise money for a vaction (be it the truth or not).

The GameShark 2 was from one sale.

The N64 & GBA stuff were from an unadvertised sale that I was actually told about at a sale a block over on my list so they get an assist on this find had I never would have went back over a block to this sale if they never told me about it. I'm guessing it was about 10 or shortly after when I found this I paid the asking price on both.

On Vinyl it's like $40

Unnecessary thread is unnecessary. Stand alone finds threads are for games. All other finds belong in the Monthly finds thread. Besides your post wasn't even really about a find and was more about asking a question that could have gone in OT.

The vinyl is more expensive because its a limited run, with a high grain count and geared towards collectors/audiophiles.

From what I've been told, new vinyl isn't worth bothering with. If it's recorded and produced digitally, there's no point in listening to it on an analog format.

Playing catch up over the past week. First some PS2 titles that I was long overdue in picking up, I think I paid $10.00 total if I remember correctly...

PS2 - Lego Star Wars (complete)

Vacation is only a few more weeks away and I have a couple days set aside to catch up on some of my gaming / writing. I'll probably play Okami then as I've finally worked out about all the extra stuff I care to do in Steambot Chronicles.

Since I finally have a couple days off the 'fridge has been stocked...



$15.00 DVD boxset pickup, Future GPX Cyber Formula, one of my favorite anime series. The outer slip cover has a little shelf wear but the two individual boxes and discs are fine...



Lastly an animation cel that I've been after for a long time. Well, not the specific cel but a cel from a particular sequence.



Makoto Kino from Sailor Moon R episode #56. The scene in question is one that became fairly infamous with the fan base as the girls are arguing about who will play the lead in Snow White. When it comes to Makoto she said she should play Snow White because she has the largest breasts. In the English dub this was reworked as her having the most "talent." I'm a sucker for most things Makoto but it's really nice to have a cel from this sequence checked off my list. I'll probably frame it this weekend. $15.00 from eBay, got lucky.

Picked up a Dreamcast with 6 games. The games are Soul Calibur, Sonic Sdventure, Sega Rally 2, Speed Devils, Vanishing Point, and Ready 2 Rumble boxing. $20 on craigslist.

Also picked up Pokemon Crystal for $1. I finally found a loose copy of Crystalis on NES in the wild for $5, it's not a great price, but I have been wanting to play this one for quite some time and didn't really feel like buying it off ebay.

Is that an ORIGINAL animation cell from the series? If so then you either got insanely lucky or the price of those things really dropped off in recent years. I would have thought something like that would have cost a ton more.

I'm also now realizing how manly a girl's name " Makoto Kino" is. Main character of the anime kino's journey & makoto from street fighter both came to mind, being very androgynous.
