NES:
Cobra Command (w/cart sleeve) - $1
Purchased yesterday. Oddly enough, this is the first NES game I've added to the collection since March (I did buy a few in May, but they were for a friend's birthday gift).

Hit a yard sale at the local high school and grabbed a few things. I got a the Ys Book One anime disk and the Blazblue Calamity Trigger bonus soundtrack disc for $2 each. I also picked up a production animation cel from one of the animated Ghostbusters episodes for $4. They had a couple Star Wars Ewoks ones for the same price, but they weren't that visually appealing.

I've been out of state for the past week, and I used that opportunity to thrift store shop. Didn't find much, sadly. I can't even remember how many thrifts, flea markets, and resale/consignment shops I've hit in the past week, but only found something worthwhile in a few places. Actraiser ($1.99), Joe & Mac ($4), Super Battleship ($4), Super Mario All-Stars ($1.99), AD&D: Eye of the Beholder ($4), and Dragon Spirit ($1.99) were from various stores in South Louisiana. The Nuon Logitech controllers ($4.95 each), Tron Solar Sailer (free) and Zombie Dinos ($7.95) were picked up from a GameXchange in Longview, TX. The Tron cart didn't have a price, so he just let me have it for nothing, which was pretty damn nice.
I also picked up a pile of games that my nephew found for me in a Goodwill in Monroe, LA. I told him to pick up all the SNES games but don't bother with sports games. What do I find, but a bunch of NES games and two sports titles. I think the kid's learned his lesson. He'll keep an eye out for me for anything video game related in his town.
Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!

Relatively ok day, despite the rain
Bought the MS flight stick and flight sim games for $3 total at a yardsale (I have FSX and have been looking for a decent USB stick)
Then I found the much nicer Wireless Logitech one at a thrift for $6. Ah well. I still needed the expansion pack.
Stack of PC Games $5 all (nothing terribly exciting)
Stack of Xbox Games $1 each
360 Games $3 for the pair
Retrogame Challenge $5 used from EB Games
Mac OSX $4 (this useful anymore? I took a chance on it) Says it's the "family pack" - 5 licences
Also, my random non-gaming yardsale find of the day: bag containing 5 rabbit pelts and a wolf's tail $2
unfortunately, it's not the force feedback one. Just the Precision 2.
I'm going to try both before I decide anyways ^^
I had bought the Saitek stick for 360 hoping that I would be then also be able to use it on my PC,
but it detects it as a gamepad, and all of the button mapping is screwy (some buttons wont map at all)

Okay, rest of my stuff...
I met one of the flea market vendors at Play-N-Trade. He had walked there with a bag full of games for his shop because his car had broken down and no one wanted to give him a ride to the flea market, so he was going to wait for another 45 minutes for the bus to bring him to the flea market. I offered him a ride there, since the alternative was to walk in 100+ degree Florida heat (much worse than Arizona heat with the humidity). It would've been a 2 hour walk to the flea market with a 60+ pound bag to lug around.
He was nice enough to give me a game for free plus a decent deal on some stuff for the deed, since none of his friends wanted to help him out.
Sega Genesis
Landstalker (Box + Manual) - $Free
Sega Mega Drive
Gunstar Heroes (CIB)
Shadow Dancer (CIB)
Space Harrier II (CIB)
Xbox 360
Spectral Force (CIB)
$45 total
...what's the deal with people trading in games without the systems though? I came across CD-i games, Jaguar CD games, and Mega Drive games without any systems. I have a Jaguar CD, but it would've been nice to get a CD-i or a MD (especially a MD2, since I have a Super 32X and Mega CD).
You did what I did and bought those RCA format discs instead of LaserDiscs. If you take those out of their caddy, they look like a thick vinyl record, and they're played about the same way. LDs look like 12" CDs, and don't come in big plastic caddies.
Here's an auction for a player.

There's a start. Those things are pretty useless and don't pull much of anything. I had a stack of 24 of them with several hard to find titles, I couldn't even sell it for 3$.. I eventually took them to goodwill.

That auction link is for a LaserVision player, not a SelectaVision like the discs he got. SelectaVision plays like vinyl, with a physical contact stylus.
Oops my mistake. BTW selectavision is not the name of the format. See Here: http://cgi.ebay.com/RCA-VKT-275-Sele...item563d97d4ea

OK I usually don't post in here but I'd like to share my tale of heartbreak and then redemption (sort of). While browsing craigslist Friday(at work of course) I ran across an estate sale listing that had a turbografx lot, microvision lot, a centipede machine, and a Playboy pinball machine. Here's the auction, if you care to click. http://www.auctionzip.com/cgi-bin/ph...ry=0&zip=&kwd=
Seeing that it was not far from where I live I decided to check it out today. Well me being a dummy I forgot my checkbook. (who uses check books anymore?) I had $245 bucks with me. Didn't really care to get the pinball or arcade machine but was really interested in the TG and Microvision stuff. Well I got there a little ahead of time to check out the stuff. I knew looking over the TG lot $245 was not going to cut it. There was a ton of good stuff in there, over 50 games with jewel cases and instructions (no Magical Chase though). The TG stuff went up right away. I bid as high as I could go but it went for $250. I probably was willing to go to $400 if I had the money, but this guy seemed determined. Me being a regular at the flee markets and selling at the conventions around OH, I know most of the "players" but I didn't recognize the buyer. I hope he's a collector and not some Ebay a$$hole. Maybe even a member here?? Well anyway he left right after he paid. About an hour later the centepide and pinball machines went up. The centipede went for $600. I think the pinball machine went for a little more. I was able to test the centipede machine and the up/down on trackball was not working but monitor looked good. But $600? Seems a bit high, but whatever.
Being on tilt from the TG auction I was determined to get the Microvision. I won it at $27.50. Here's what I got.
A nice consolation price I guess. I picked up a few other tidbits at the auction and headed home. On my way back I stopped at my favorite thrift store.
Looking over the electronics section something familiar caught my eye. A Vectrex system! I have never seem one in the wild. What's more it had a $8 dollar sticker on it. I searched and found a bag of games and controller. I tested the Vectrex but it was not powering up. Also the controller stick is busted. Oh well, I bought it anyway. Here's the system and games.
I also found this for $2. I now have two of these to link head-to-head.
I'm still a little upset about my lack of boy scout skills but nothing beer can't fix. But finding 2 Jay Smith products in one day ain't that bad!

Thank you..
I put a bid on one of these.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ROAD-WARRIOR-Mel...item19bd3f8650
....Upon looking for Laser Discs on ebay
.............. to be played in the Sony Lasermax.
CD 8CM,..CD/CDV..LD 20CM...LD30CM
I tested the machine with a CD and it playes otherwise I dunno so I hope to grab one of this guys laser disc as his auction IMO is vague on description and that i have no clue what I'm really looking for..
I can't seem to find much 'info' on the unit online..
As long as it's LaserDisc, it will play. Just look for that L logo with the square in it, like you have on the front of your player.
If I remember right, it's a different laser that reads CDs, so you can't fully test the unit without an LD or CDV. It will play CDs (8cm), CDVs (20cm), and LDs (30cm). CDV is the 45rpm 7" of LD, for lack of a better way to describe it.
Does it have extra ports on the back? Read this. You might be able to use it if you find a Dragon's Lair cabinet in need of a new player..
A vintage tote bag, for traveling with my modded NES:
Not quite mint condition, but it should work fine.
I ordered this the day before Carey85 listed his rental case and I bought that as well. Doh. The bag will be a nice collectible anyway.
