Anyone aside from me pick it up?
Bought it and beat it the other day. Worth every point to me but it isn't for everyone.
And don't bring up that stupid girlie Aladdin rip off! Shantea?
This is why I have not gotten it. That, and because its 1,200 points, which if I am not mistaken, is $15....for DLC?
I'll wait until it drops to at least 800 points ($10).
I did play the demo, and after getting decapitated a few times due to the floor traps...and skewered by the huge spider, I really enjoyed the game! But still, the price is a tad steep, at least for me.
Release this on a disc, and I will get it for $15.

I think its so sad that a game like this, which has received all kinds of positive attention, is being crippled in sales because "15 dollars is too much."
I listened to the CAGcast and both CheapyD and Shipwreck said it took them three hours at most.
I recently bought MvC2 for $7.50 and I feel that I got ripped off. First off you don't own a copy of the game, second I thought the game was garbage and deleted it within an hour. The first MvC is better. First and only DLC I've purchased and pretty much feel like I threw money away.
I also just played the trial version today, seems good, but to me so much of a ripoff of littlebigplanet in a way. But for $15 instead of $60 not bad. I just as a rule dont buy arcade games generally, unless its something like trials hd with high replay value for me.
Autobots. Roll out.
I'd MUCH rather get it on a disc. I refuse to pay $15 for any DLC. Way too much.

really? you are missing out on some good stuff. if shadow complex was on a disc i think it would have done okay with a $60 price tag, but at $15 it was a steal even if it was only DLC.
but yeah, i'm about 45 minutes into limbo and it's pretty awesome. i heard you can finish it in under four hours which is a little short, though.
There is no denying the game is short, but then again I don't see how thats an outright bad thing. There's no rehash or repetition. Those 4 hours are 4 genuine hours.
And "to me so much of a ripoff of littlebigplanet in a way"? I hope that's a troll or just incredibly stupid. At least call it out on "Out of this World" and "Heart of Darkness."
This is again the $15 ZOMG that Braid got. I am holding off because of the price tag, but also because I have a huge backlog of games already in the queue. I'll pick it up later.
I paid full price for Braid.
I'm sure someone'll link the PA comic at some point in here.
Nevermind, I'll do it.
Now - is Limbo worth it? I'd like to see that in here more than what's been posted so far.
Actually...the $15 price point for DLC is the main reason I'm holding off, but I also REALLY don't like buying ANY DLC on the Xbox due to the whole points system.
If it was on PS3, I'd be about 75% more likely to buy it. Same goes for Shadow Complex for that matter...at least Braid came out on Steam and for PC.

I think LIMBO is definitely worth it, and its an excellent game. I lament that all anyone is talking about (reviews, other boards) is that the game might be too expensive, not commenting on the actual quality of the game.
Then again, many of you don't like DLC so nothing I say will matter.
I have a hard time with the "this isn't worth $60, this is only worth $10," etc. Value is difficult to quantify by play time, or any other method, because everybody's perception of worth is different. In my mind, a 3 hour game can be worth $60 if the experience is unique and high quality. A 100 hour grindfest won't get $5 out of me. I gladly plopped down $15 for Braid. I probably will wait on Limbo, despite liking it. Doesn't mean its not worth $15 to others. I'll pay $150 for Halo Reach. Others probably think its a waste of money, and wouldn't pick any Halo game up off of the ground even if it was free. Its all about perception of value and what the game offers to them.

When it comes to "game value", I always use the "movie theater" approach. Average movie is about 2 hours at about $7.50 at night. Use that to figure in the "value", as it were. In the case of Limbo, $15 is about on par if it's 4 hours long.
I find it kinda funny that people get so up tight about downloads. Yes I got bit a while back with DLC (couldn't get my Karaoke Revolution Party songs from one Xbox to another when my original was dying) but looking back, I've been buying software for my PC for years using the same concept. While I don't agree with paying full retail for games you can buy off the shelf, paying $15 for games you would possibly never EVER see in stores is worth it.
I kind of preferred Marvel 1; sweeter presentation (stages, music), the sweet character duo attacks, the sweet assists, the fact that not everyone I like playing was complete garbage...
I mean, Strider was better than everyone else, and others like Red Venom and Double War Machine were really freaking good, but it wasn't as bad as Marvel 2 in that regard ;p

They should make a Limbo game for the Microsoft Kinect.
I've been on vacation all week but I bought limbo on release night. I didn't buy it because of some review it got. I bought it because it looked interesting to ME. To me, it was worth $15 because it's a hell of an experience. So much of what people like or what they're willing to pay for is just subjective. You're gonna rother like it or you won't. No use bitching ir arguing about it.
Anyway, the games got an incredible atmosphere, interesting puzzles, and is viciously, terrifyingly violent. It's like a really fucked-up episode of Leave It To Beaver. If that sounds interesting to you, and you were ever a fan of Out of This World, you might like it.
