    crazy, thats something Id think would be un-collectable...you know, cause the people that won them would tend to hold on to them or keep them in the family. What athlete won this and for what event?

    It's a participation medal. They were given to everyone who competed. Probally the most collectable of all the medals. Still rare and super cool to own...especially considerind it's from the first modern Olympics.

    No problem. A friend of mine in college had one from the '92 Olympics(soccer). I'm interested to see how high this goes for. Good luck with the auction.
