Oooooh....that IS a good trend Slug, Magician Lord, Alpha Misson....great games. Downside... $9 each....kinda steep for lesser Neo games.

So long as they aren't like the 360 releases - blurry, terrible upgrades. Hopefully they'll keep them 'pure' or I'll take the CMVS over that any day.
The netplay is going to be horribly broken, as usual. I just know it.
Also, they're not selling them with support for both the PS3 and PSP? Just one or the other?
I am still patiently waiting for my PSN release of Mark of The Wolves.

To be fair, Kitsune isn't speaking without precedent. SNK releases have been known to have really crappy netcode. Let's hope they won't continue that trend.
Pretty much everyone who's bought these games has told me to avoid them because of the netcode.
So "imagine", no, but to ship games with such an important feature in a less-than-usable state, time and time again? You'd think they'd have it worked out by now... and they keep doing it, so I don't expect anything decent out of SNK anymore.
Windjammers is Paon, not G-Mode. And it has been published on the Japanese Virtual Console by D4 Enterprises a few months back and they're the same company that has published all the NeoGeo games that we've seen on the Virtual Console over here. I'd be surprised to see D4 not bring it out here eventually since they continue to support the Virtual Console and have already licensed the property from Paon.
Too bad it's not much fun. The name inspires thoughts of large sailing ships, but actually has nothing to do with windjammers.

... It is a PONG FIGHTING GAME.
A PONG FIGHTING GAME.
We'll likely never see a release for (NON SAILING SHIPS) Windjammers in any case. It's not Metal Slug, KoF or... Well, Metal Slug or KoF. Therefore, it apparently isn't worth their time. I'd also like to see some of the Sunsoft and Atlus stuff for SNK become available in some way here in the states, but that seems even less probable. Oh well.

Clearly you haven't been paying any attention to the NeoGeo releases on the American and Japanese Virtual Console. I really doubt D4 paid to license it with intentions of not bringing it out over here.
D4 has released everything in both territories. All that we're missing currently are Fighter's History Dynamite (June 2010), Windjammers (June 2010), Galaxy Fight (March 2010), Waku Waku 7 (April 2010), and Magical Drop III (July 2010). As Magical Drop II shows from less then two weeks ago (Japan got it in this spring), we're still getting these over here usually around 8 months later. I'm sure will will continue to eventually get any NeoGeo title that Japan gets as long as it was domestically released here originally or is import friendly.
We have 27 of the 32 NeoGeo games that the Japanese Virtual Console has gotten so far. I have no doubt that we'll continue to get these, including Windjammers.

I'd buy Windjammers on PS3. Same goes for Bang Bead and Super Dodge Ball....

I still don't quite get Windjammers. It looks fun though. It's been supported in GGPO for some time, but nobody plays it.
Thing is, Waku Waku 7, Galaxy Fight, Astray Superstars, Matrimelee, Twinkle Star Sprites, Ninja Masters... these games haven't seen a U.S. release since the Saturn era or before. I don't care about the Metal Slugs, KoFs, or any other SNK game that's been collected from hell and back.
What game on virtual console isn't available on at least one PS2 collection, or even more than one? None. I would love to see Windjammers here in the states on VC, and I'll buy it it comes out, but any of the games I listed above? Import only, and likely to stay that way.
