So Capcom pulled a dick move today.
Devil May Cry 4 was $5 for a couple of hours... and then they raised the price to $10. I thought these specials were supposed to last all day. Fuck 'em.
Same thing happened with the Valve pack at the beginning of the sale. Was $25 for the Valve complete pack but then went up to $50! Kicking myself for not getting it at $25.
Todays buys were:
-Overlord
-Torchlight
-King Arthur
To be honest I'm not a huge fan of console games that get ported to the PC. The Mass Effect series seems ok though.
ARKHAM ASYLUM FOR $7.50
I knew waiting was the right thing to do!
Love space games so I picked up the X superbox deal today. I really was wanting Dragon Age... but $25 for the complete edition is a bit too much. I highly doubt I would get around to playing it before it drops to $10 during the summer sale anyway. Heck I might not even get around to playing it till the next Christmas sale!
There is going to come a day where the console makers are going to wonder "Where did all the gamers go?"
And this is why.
Heh. I bought the FEAR pack this morning, and Killing Floor after I came back from the US.
And I got the Lara Croft game as a gift.
I must say, the Serious Sam HD discount looks very appealing - bloody $3.99. I'm really tempted to get this as it's likely another year before its this cheap again.

9,000 gigs of ram and it still can't answer a simple question!
The only reason I didn't buy that is that I got them as part of a trade with a guy from Russia on the Steam forums.
And I already own the original games via retail releases.
Just bought Mirror's Edge (75% off) and Shatter (50% off) for $5 each. I already had Mirror's Edge on the 360, but somehow first-person games just feel "right" on the PC.
When is Steam going to give us a deal on extra time during a day to play all these games? That's what I'd like to know.

Just going to point out that Magnetis is only 37 pence. Fun game, with very awesome music.
The SF4 deal kinda sucks and LP2 I just don't have enough for, wish LP1 was 50% off.

I got the Quake collection for 10 bucks. Not a bad deal
I was kind of wondering about that one. There is still such a thing as shovelware, after all.
I can't recall anyone ever spontaneously gifting me something until this sale. It is an unfamiliar experience. I suppose I should pay it forward, but I can't seem to find any reasonably-priced games in the wishlists of my "friends". (That's what wishlists are for, right?)

It'd be good if there was still a good number of online matches without mods. Having said that and given the present circumstances are not the case (pardon Q3 to some degree) it's a fair price for the SP aspect(s) alone. Add a healthy MP scene and if I didn't already own all the games it'd be a worthy purchase in my case.

Too bad none of the Quake 1 and 2 games include any CD music.
I'm keeping my retail copies just because of that.
If you check the Steam forums, there's actually a download link to get the music working on the games. I think. I have the original CDs so I can just rip the music myself.
Shatter is now $2.50 today. F.
I'm still waiting for the Orange Box to plummet, but I know they'll probably wait until the last day of the sale (if at all) to do that.

So yesterday I bought Amnesia: The Dark Descent, The Ball, Frozenbyte Collection (Shadowgrounds, Shadowgrounds: Survivor, Trine), and Kane and Lynch 2 DLC - Doggie Bag (bunch of multiplayer maps... eh, $3 wasn't that bad, but $1.49 / .99 for weapons and masks on their own was pretty stupid.)
And today, I got Arcadia, it's a simple WASD+Mouse shooter that's similar to Geometry Wars, but it does its own thing. It's pretty simple and fun and the dev is adding tons content and improving the engine all the time.
And really, it wasn't even $2. I figured the game would be decent, and it is.
