I'll still treasure mine, and hope that someday a full game gets released. this real rom has no butter monster vollyball
I didn't get a chance to download that Dropbox link, it's down now. Was it the same as the prototype rom link on the Lost Levels page?
Nope. It only had three screens and you could destroy everything on them by pressing down and B. Except to when you got to Der Butter on the third screen.
But was the joke .nes at Dropbox actually playable then? I wouldn't mind a copy of it... Who was behind it?

Got any obscure game stuff?
I imagine it was something Progace cooked up long ago.
<Evan_G> i keep my games in an inaccessable crate where i can't play them
The link from dropbox was an old rom from before the first 1 level demo was posted 2 years ago. Not really anything interesting. I took the link down when frank posted the real rom.

Ah, I see. But hey, I think it's awesome that your interpretation and the real thing may both be available soon. Should make for a nice contrast. :-)

I still wanna see Prog's version...is he still working at it? I'm sure it would (hopefully will) be cooler than the real game.
Blowing on cartridges since 1987
Bio Force Ape should be remade with DP's members as the cast.

So I'm out for dinner last night with my husband when he starts telling me about this podcast for video game's he's been listening to. Then he asks me if I've ever head of this "Ape game"? because some forum pulled a hilarious prank.
It was just really odd having my husband relate to me a thread I witnessed unfold back in 2005, over dinner, what? Seven years later?
I may not post often, but I haven't gone anywhere. Just feel that I don't much to contribute to the threads I've been reading lately.
