Selena Gomez & the Scene When the Sun Goes Down 4 Extra Songs - $12.98 Target
Vixen - Cassette $1 Rasputine Records last week
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.
Some of My Game Collection Mah Mac n' Cheese Blog
I feel I did pretty well this past week, after several weeks with the garage sales being pretty much dead due to the heat. I'm not looking forward to the end of this month, when I'll be forced to sit outside in the heat as my grandmother has her annual sale...
Anyway, here's what I found
- A bag of assorted old electronics with some video game stuff in it: $2
As for the noteworthy things in the bag:
- Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins (European version)
- Super Mario Bros. 2
- The Goonies II
- NES Zapper (Orange)
- Assorted dice (Including a few d20s that look like they are older than I am)
That copy of Super Mario Land 2 was an unusual find for me; import stuff like that almost never turns up around here. I may already have a domestic copy, but I may sell that copy and keep this one.
- Two bags full of 49 NES games: $25
As for what was in them:
- A Boy and his Blob
- Adventure Island
- Adventures of Lolo
- Adventures of Lolo 2
- Adventures of Rad Gravity
- American Gladiators
- Base Wars
- Bases Loaded
- Bee 52
- Blades of Steel
- Bomberman (2 copies)
- Burgertime
- Captain Skyhawk
- City Connection
- Circus Caper
- Digger T. Rock
- Donkey Kong Classics
- Double Dragon 3
- Fester's Quest
- Frankenstein: The Monster Returns
- Friday the 13th
- Ghosts & Goblins
- Ghoul School
- Hudson Hawk
- Iron Tank
- Joe & Mac
- Joust
- Kiwi Kraze
- Little Nemo: Dream Master
- Mario is Missing!
- Mechanized Attack
- Milon's Secret Castle
- Muppet Adventure: Chaos at the Carnival
- Othello
- Platoon
- Pipe Dream
- Quattro Adventure
- Rampage
- Silent Service (2 copies)
- Super Mario Bros. 2
- Short Order \ Egg-splode!
- T&C Surf Design
- Tecmo Bowl
- The Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants
- Tetris
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
- Trog! (Torn label)
At the sale, which was just starting to close up since it was close to lunch, they where asking $1 each for the games. I began to look through what they had, and I nearly shat bricks when I saw Adventures of Lolo 2; which is one I had wanted for my collection, because of how much I liked the first one. However, because there where a few titles I didn't recognize, I decided to offer $25 for all the games; which they gladly accepted since they wanted it out of their way.
Non-gaming finds:
- Pink Flyod: Dark Side of the Moon (CD. Complete in very good condition): $1
- Adobe PhotoDeluxe 2.0 (Macintosh. Disc only) $.75
- Mac Mini (Late '06 model w\ IR remote and original restoration discs): $250
- Mac OS X Snow Leopard (Macintosh. New): $30
Finding that Mac Mini was a stroke of luck on eBay; They usually climb way out of my price range, but this one was in fully working condition with the remote and restoration discs and within my price range, so I jumped on it and ordered a new copy of Snow Leopard; since it's apparently running Tiger.
Now, I finally have a Mac newer than my old bondi blue iMac G3. However, I now need to look into a KVM...
I picked up two rumble packs from that same guy who sold me the Dreamcast stuff earlier in the week. $4.
I'll be listing them with two guns and House of the Dead on eBay after I clean everything up.
Okay, I took a picture of the NES system. While most systems seem to have a slighty textured surface on top, this one is completely smooth. Plus the adapter is official but different than normal ones. Anyone know anything about why this one is different? It's actually the second one I've found like this, only I sold the previous one a few years ago without taking any pictures.
Red Dead Revolver & Resident Evil CODE: Veronica - Buck Each
Resident Evil - 1
Metal Gear Solid & No One Can Stop Mr. Domino - 3
Sega Genesis AC Adaptor - .25
The Rest of The Genesis Stuff - 1
Mario Kart 64 (Rough Looking) - .50
The Worst Looking SNES In The World With 2 Controllers - .50
All disk games (and The Lion King) complete. I was actually given Resident Evil 4 when I pointed out that it was a 2 disk game and that disk 2 was missing. The 2 PS1 games were 2 each, I tried to offer a buck each and we ended up meeting in the middle. No price, offered a quarter for the AC adaptor. Genesis stuff was at a sale that was .50 for anything not marked so it was like I saved .50. Asked about games at one sale and the lady brought out that SNES from her garage and as I looked at it she said I could have (more like rescure it) for .50 but I think it's already dead lol That picture really doesn't fully show how bad it is and befittingly enough the Mario Kart 64 in not as bad of shape was from the house next door. Anything else not mentioned was asking price.

did a lil bit of yard sale stuff today
found a sega genesis and some genesis games which i passed on since i was only looking for some things i really didn't have since i am kinda penny pinchin at the moment
well i found my first Game Gear in the wild at a yard sale. bought it for 5 bucks
came with no games
had really old batteries in it
so i bought some new ones.
tried to start it up and nothing
i did notice there was some light corrosion on the terminal.. but don't think its that bad like it just started to do it kinda thing (have yet to crack the system open to see how far it truely has spread)
what you guys and gals think?
Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!
View my collection!
I'd say it's tied for the worst SNES console. I've seen one that actually looked piss yellow, in some "museum" exhibit no less (a CGE?)
It's weird that I can go for months without finding anything gaming-related AT ALL and now it's all over the place. It looks like people are finally getting rid of their Mega Drives around these parts, which is not a bad thing at all
Anyway, today's finds are:
NES:
Volley Ball
Sega Mega Drive:
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Complete)
Ecco: The Tides of Time (No manual)
Forgotten Worlds (No manual)
Jurassic Park Rampage Edition (Complete)
Separation Anxiety (Complete)
Strider (No manual)
+ Mega Drive controller
Denmark: Home of The Little Mermaid and heavy sarcasm.
