While I would have loved to see this game released, maybe it was for the best. I've read about it's troubled history and I wasn't too keen on it's design by committee approach either.

Capcom needs to reboot Mega Man. You know what they're doing to Tomb Raider? That's what I've been wanting to see Capcom do for years. Update it, make it new, and reinvent it for both the new and original fans.
Capcom's treatment of the series in the last decade can be summed up in one word - meandering. A little focus could go a long way.
Capcom's apparently blaming fans for the Mega Man Legends 3 cancellation now. The way it's written seems like they're placing blame on the fans.

Capcom basically thinks the amount of people that signed up for the MML3 forum to show their support are the only people who are going to purchase the game. I for one don't like signing up for every forum out there, but this is one of the games I was going to pick the 3DS up for.
I wasn't really looking forward to this game.. I was never into the Legends series.
I am amazed, however, that we are so far along and Mega Man -- arguably Capcom's mascot character -- does not have the kind of flagship title that Mario or even Sonic have seen in the polygon era of gaming. Why are the resources not poured in here? Is it because the 2D, cash cow, cut & paste formula worked too well for too long? Is Mega Man not worth it?? I wonder who will end up acquiring Capcom when this all goes to #$%@..
They need to get Dimps in here to fix this..
