Yeah, we all knew it was coming.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Pretty cool. Can't wait to get back to Los Santos/San Fiero/Las Venturas...if indeed the rumors are true.

Vice City or bust. If it is in SA I wonder if it's due to the work of Rage Vice City mods...
Oh well, should be interesting to see what's changed if anything.
Whaddya mean invalid parameters?!
9,000 gigs of ram and it still can't answer a simple question!
Cool.
Just keep the "feel" of GTA4 but let you do whatever you want outside of missions. I loved GTA4 but once beaten it got significantly less playtime then every other GTA game I've played, due to the lack of extra anything to do. GTA has always been funnest for me explorign the world and finding random missions and things to interact with. GTA 4 had all the little details down from the cars, TV, and internet but outside of that the game felt stale.
Considering how they did the V I'm going to guess casinos are involved and therefore it will take place in Las Venturas.
It won't be long until I start getting people asking me if I am going to do a guide on GTA V and my answer will be "Of course I am". This game, along with "Hitman: Absolution", and "The Darkness II", are titles that I am committed to writing guides on upon release.
Right now, though, I am going to do one for "Deadly Premonition" and I am debating about doing one for the remake of "Syndicate".
The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "save us!"......and I'll look down, and whisper "no."
Maybe they'll come up with a NEW city, instead of re-hashing the same 3 again and again.

Didn't they say something about only streamlining and focusing the design, as most people don't have time or interest to cruise around? Shame if it's so. For me San Andreas was most fun with all the mini-game type of stuff to do in the vast and varied map. Especially the countryside, I just loved to drive with a truck around the countryside and listen to K-Rose. How easily amused one can be...
It would be cool if they had a larger selection of music, or allowed for custom soundtracks of some kind. I had to turn the radio off after hearing the same old stuff for the 20th time.
I'll probably get it at some point, but I'm not eagerly counting down the days or anything.
WTB Clayfighter Sculptor's Cut Manual Only... PM ME!!
I enjoyed the last one on PS3, if i was bored i used to just load it up to drive around admiring the scenery
I enjoyed the hell out of GTA4, despite the fact that I had to start from scratch after my Fat PS3 died, I enjoyed my very long journey as Niko Bellic. So I'm looking forward to Rockstars next offering and hopefully they'll listen to some of the complaints about the city feeling empty at times, which is one of the few commonly talked about faults I agree on.
I've never heard anything about this and if that were indeed true, it would be a really big step backwards for the series and gaming in general. Honestly, I don't know anyone who didn't go exploring the first time they played a new GTA game and of course raising a little hell in the process, so not quite sure how true that statement is.
I'm excited by this... a little. I will admit to preferring San Andreas to Vice City but only by virtue of the fact that San Andreas's map is more varied, there's just more to do. GTA4 felt like a huge step back to the extent that I didn't even bother to complete it. Once you've driven down one flat urban street you've driven down them all.
I hope it takes place in the 80's. Vice City is still my favorite GTA.
They better not make this all gritty and cinematic like GTA4. That game was a snorefest and not what was expected from a GTA at all.
lolwut?
since number 3 i thought all gta games were like this.
Atleast to me they seemed it (i own vice city, SA, IV, Liberty City Stories)
I loved the appeal of SA alot more then all others too. So much to do. So much to look for (back when it was still big i actually created using my PC copy a "scavenger hunt" game where i would take a picture of something random but unique in the game world and you'd have to go find it and tell me where it is)
And i hope they allow tanks and stuff back again. I missed that in GTA IV. Granted its very unrealistic. But what the hell it was still fun to steal a friggin tank and just go crazy in town.
I hope this game is in SA. I hope they give it that super world that GTA SA had with the 3 cities and various country towns.
The boys from Edinburgh better really bring the noise this time. GTA IV while kinda amazing for it's release window, hasn't really aged very well. The expansion packs were cool and all, but was anybody really desperate to run out and get those expansion packs right away? Most peeps I know played the main GTA IV for like 20 hours and then basically gave up on the main game, and never bothered with the expansions, regardless of how cool they looked.
Rockstar North basically created the open world genre, but other companies have come along and made even better sandboxes than GTA IV had. Red Dead Redemption from Rockstar San Diego and Fallout 3 by Bethesda Studios have shown what true open world gaming is capable of. GTA V is going to need to really up the ante in the gameplay department. Cut scenes and style can only take you so far. The open world game is no longer new, or novel. Open World games come out all the time now. Infamous 2 and Dead Island are two recent open world games that have come out. Skyrim is coming out soon. The stakes have been raised, I hope that the Howser brothers can pull a rabbit out their hat, because if they don't, they might wonder what happened to their unstoppable franchise.
I ran into someone from TT on Monday, a little bit ahead of the announcement. I wish I knew so I could've attempted to squeeze some info out of them!
I wonder if they'll be using the L.A. NOIRE engine on this.
