You've got me. I don't recognize it.
I spent $1,450/$1,350/$1,250 on T-Mek, DarXide and Primal Rage respectively for the PAL 32X. The Mega Derp Trio!
And the ever snazzy $1,111.11 for a factory sealed Daytona USA CCE Netlink Edition. Nothing stops your heart faster than seeing an auction jump right to your ludicrous "no one will ever bid this much" maximum bid moments before ending.
Be Attitude For Gains...
i dont think i have ever paid more than what a game is new and thats only about $60 bucks....
thinking about it i probably shouldnt have opened some of them now....oh well
Never paid more for a used game than when it was new. Think the highest I ever went was £30 for Mario RPG and roughly the same each for Shining Force 3 scenarios 2 & 3- but they were both as new.
Trying now to think of the most I've ever paid for a special edition of a game. Forza 4 set me back £60 and Fallout New Vegas probably the same.
Arcade:
$2500 Virtua Fighter 3 50" machine
$1200 SEGA Megalo 41" machine
Console:
$1200 Metal Slug 1 AES
A bunch of 400-800 console games, JAMMA arcade PCBs and other arcade cabinets.

[ My Multi-screen MADNESS!! ]
I guess I'm cheap:
Star Ocean Eternal Edition@ $320
I paid $75 for a copy of Shining Force 3 on Saturn..only to never be able to finish it, unless I learn Japanese.
Currently attempting to complete my Genesis collection! Always looking for hard to find complete games! Send me a PM
Please feel free to follow my collecting blog here! http://genesaturn.blogspot.com/
1. 55 for a complete repro of Time Diver Eon Man for the Nes from NesDump. Very professionally done and played through it many times.
2. 50 Soul Caliber 2 for the Gamecube the week it came out.
3. 39.90 for a loose copy of Aero Fighters for the Snes off ebay in 2005. Talk about a great investment. I just started spring break when it came in the mail and I felt like I had an arcade right in my basement. Easily one of my favorite games of all time.
4. 35 for a complete Sin and Punishment for the N64. No regrets there.
5. 25 for a complete copy of Stunt Racer 64. Now I'm seeing copies sell for over 100. Boo-ya!
I spent $100 on a copy of CIB Guardian Heroes
i used to pay $80 to buy new games from the shops before i got wind of OGS and other online places like it.
$90 for Batman Arkham City Collectors Edition with Batman statue.
WANTS: Atari 2600/ Playstation Vita
Solitudine Il Cacciatore
I have the worst purchase all-time:
Aidyn Chronicles for N64 along with the 4 MB drive needed to handle the game's "amazing" graphic capacity.
Game was like $60-$70 and add-on for N64 was $30 to $40, I think. It was only a few weeks old when I bought it. What a waste.
If I don't count my arcade cabinet (Guerrilla War, purchased at an auction for 220 bucks), then the Kingdoms of Amalur Collector's Edition (200). I would have gotten the Signature edition, but they were sold out by the time I had the cash.
Other than those, my wife bought me Panzer Dragoon Saga and merely said "I paid less than 200 for it" so I assume it was close to that number.
Then there was Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition ($150), The Witcher 2 CE ($130), and Fallout 3: Survival Edition (Amazon exclusive, $130).
My highest-paid retro game was for Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, back in 1996. It was almost impossible to find, and Funcoland had it new... for $100. I was a huge Star Wars fan and needed more to play on my new N64, so they got their cash... and honestly, for the time it was worth it.
This thread makes me realize I haven't really spent all that much on a single game before.
I got Popful Mail for Sega CD a month or two ago for $75. . . Total impulse buy.
I guess I keep most of my purchases below the $50 range.
$325ish for a CIB (all inserts) copy of Final Fantasy III on the SNES. Way overpriced, not *too* minty, but I wanted it really badly and had money to burn at the time, so I got into an eBay bidding war.
It is still the centerpiece of my gaming collection though.

I guess technically the Kingdoms of Amalur Signature Edition, that was $275. After that it was Panzer Dragoon Saga at $180.
If arcades count, I gave 1400 for 4 games (galaga, time crisis crisis zone, P's attack, and Crazy Taxi)
If not, it would be Steel Battalion. I gave $80 bucks for it. They wanted $100 for it, but I talked them down.
$800 shipped for a Candy cab, 6 slot board and a dozen games - all money spent really on a copy of KoF 99 for it as one of the included titles. Probably closer to a thousand bucks if you factor in the truck and ferry ride to Vancouver to pick it up, but I caught a break in that I helped a friend move and he covered half the truck.
I think we spent about $300 for KoF 2003 in 2003... But that might have been my share of it... Split costs with a friend. All I remember was we went back to 99 :P
