By extension port cover, do you mean the DB-15 Famicom port? I would just get a good Famicom joystick and use it. If you really want it, maybe the original Famicom, which is cheaper, has one that will work?

I wouldn't know about the pin converters, does the Stone Age Gamer one have problems? I don't think there would be problems.
