Default HELP! GFX Card Retention Clip Issue

Hello, I'm not sure if I am posting in the right section, but anyways I'll get to the point.

The other day I was replacing my PSU and took out my GFX card so i could get to some of the other ports. Through doing that
I accidentally pushed the retention clip the wrong direction and it snapped off. I was able to take the gfx card out and
put it back in and it clicked back into place. What i want to know is how can i take it out again without the clip. Isnt this
clip so you can release it? Can i simply just yank the thing back out, Its something i need to know because I'm swapping out
    my motherboard later this week.

    Thanks

sorry if I'm not making any sense, I'm typing this half asleep >.<

If it is like old AGP cards it just hooks a wedge on the card, without it it to sliding out of the slot. If not when replacing the mobo you can always trash the board to retrieve the card.
