I enjoy Felix the Cat. Despite it being quite easy and a tad too short, it is solid, fun platforming from the venerable Hudson Soft.

Absolutely. I dont know what the current going rate is but a few months ago I bought each for $20. I wouldnt pay more than $20-30 for either though.

Bucky O'Hare is a good game that provides a pretty decent challenge. If you didn't know any better, you would never suspect that it was based off a licensed property. Definitely worth your thirty bucks.

I haven't played Bucky OHare in 20 years or so, but I remember it feeling kind of sub par aesthetics-wise, especially being developed by Konami. It felt like a rushed product. However, it was really fun and I beat it in one day.

You are probably right about the graphics considering that it was released in 1992, although someone who is not an experienced player probably wouldn't beat the game in one day.

Well if you think about it, it does give you passwords and therefore infinite continues. It's not like all those other Konami games where you have to start at the beginning every time you lose.

I just bought Felix the Cat for $30 because I beat it on my powerpak and that's what I'm doing is rebuying only the carts of games I can re-beat or first time beat the rom of. I just want the cheapest Buy it Now of everything because at the slow rate I'm going, its really not going to eat much percentage of my pay to buy the games.

I'm a big fan of Bucky O'Hare. It's fun and challenging - and, while I agree that they're not the best on the console, I really like the graphics.

Don't own Felix the Cat but have played it, not too hard of a game and a fun little romp. Bucky O'Hare I do have (bought for $17 locally a year or so ago), that one eats me alive as I find it a bit heavy on memorization, but for the price it goes now, I wouldn't buy it at it's current going rate.

Boy was I lucky I bought it when I did, long story short, the shop owner loaned it to his room mate who thought he lost it. I went back for it in desperate hope it was still there, lo and behold the guy said yes it was found and still held for me, so I asked how much it was, found the price decent and quickly snatched it up as I had never seen it prior or again after I bought it anywhere else. I was lucky it did pop up again because I randomly decided I should ask him for it again after being disappointed it wasn't there before.

Felix The Cat is an awesome platformer by Hudson. It doesn't make good use of the NES color palette (almost devoid of color at times) but he play mechanics remind me of a cross between Adventure Island and Kirby's Dreamland. A fantastic romp, if a bit easy. Also an excellent representation of the Felix property.

Bucky O'Hare is another great platformer, although a bit disjointed when it comes to difficulty. Never was a big fan of the character though, so I have to rate it lower than Felix. Did anyone even watch this cartoon show when it aired in the early 90's?

I remember sniping a Felix cart+manual years ago for like $12.
And buying a Famicom Bucky 'o Hare cart for about that, though I'd guess that too is worth more now. (kind of surprised a game based on a fairly obscure cartoon even got an official release in Japan)
Still in my huge backlog, though.

I own Felix the Cat and it's a pretty fun game, I got it in a bundle of games for a cheap price a few years ago. I've never played Bucky O'Hare as I've never found a copy.

I watched Bucky O'Hare back when it aired, I have one of the video tapes too. I found it to be a decent show though it only lasted for one season and nothing was resolved in it.

I actually have a Bucky O'Hare Power Cycle/Big Wheels. I've owned it since I was a kid and I never saw another one like it. If it's worth anywhere near the value of a Knight Rider Power Wheels I should probably sell it.

I did and while I don't remember much about it, my five year old self thought it was awesome.

Felix would be a great title if it weren't so short and so easy. It's REALLY easy to the point I found it unenjoyable.

Bucky has that muddy-look, but I found the game itself to be extremely enjoyable. It's been awhile since I last played it, but I remember it getting pretty damn tough towards the very end.

Both are titles worth owning for sure, but of the two I prefer Bucky. Much more bang for your buck.

And that is always the biggest source of hesitation I have towards playing, let alone purchasing, a licensed game.

Bucky O'Hare is, as chance would have it, the prize for first place in the Second Tier of Nintendo Age's Summer Tournament. Bragging rights and competitive nature aside, I'd really like to add the game to my collection.

I can't remember if that's exactly what I had, but I do remember having a Knight Rider Big Wheel as a kid (even though I had no idea what Knight Rider was).

I'm late to this but Felix on the easier said is the better title and quite fun to do. Bucky I've had and ditched because it's generic and bland in design for the period it popped out and the difficulty goes beyond hard into just very annoying so I hope you have a higher pain threshold.

It can't be that bad if I was able to play it to completion when i was five or six.

I can't speak to Felix the Cat's quality as I've never played it but Bucky O Hare is awesome. It got lost in the shuffle of 1992 when Sonic 2, A Link to the Past, and the SNES Street Fighter 2 came out but for an NES title its pretty boss. It's very much Konami's take on the Mega Man formula although not as direct. I reviewed it sometime last year, maybe it will help you decide: http://www.retrogameage.com/?p=5494.
