The idea of "sexiness" in a video game character is an ILLUSION. The sexual arousal that individuals experience occurs when the images of the characters are projected into the zone of human fantasy. The human mind is capable of performing such wonderous manipulations, so as to recreate personality for an identity.
Lara Croft was DESIGNED as being the Ultimate-Female avatar. Researchers have associated IT (Lara Croft avatar) with "Artemis" and the femme fatale. It is important to distinguish avatars (1st or 3rd person) as different from the AI characters found within the games, and the distinction is "meself AS Lara Croft" because IT is the character I would be using during the game (eventhough human me is male and video avatar is "Female").
No matter how visually appealing, the AI characters of a video games, in fantasy, are equal to the "Chickens and pigs" that can savagely be attacked during non-critical stages of the video game. Programmers are always trying to use sounds and behaviour response patterns that are "suitable" to the video gamers. Ones that evoke pleasurable responses.
This language may seem strange, but I am the sexy one and not IT.
