If it keeps going at the rate it is, it should be backed by a week. I'm glad they rejected that gamepad design. Buttons would have been hard to reach. D-pad might have been cool though, possibly even better for fighters.

Very cool. Hopefully it's released in North America to the Amazon-ish sites so we don't have to pay expensive international postage.

It's a little over $11 extra for worldwide shipping of a beautiful 300 page hardback book. I wouldn't exactly call that expensive. I don't believe they distribute through Amazon or other third parties either, at least they didn't with their Sensible Software book.

Curious to see what they are going to add to the book with the money they will get from now on.

Well if there's no alternative I would go through the UK vendor, but would be good (for the author) if there was a local option.

Backed. The Mega Drive is still probably my all-time favourite console.

    new update

Meanwhile, I'm pleased to announce that we've introduced a couple of fantastic new interviewees into the fold: Rich Karpp (Developer of Vectorman and Vectorman 2) and Michael Latham (Producer of Eternal Champions) will be chatting with us about their Genesis experiences. In the last update I mentioned that Greg Johnson (co-creator of ToeJam & Earl) was on board and I'm excited to say he has sent us a big ol' .zip file full of early development artwork. I hope you will all find the below image just as exciting as I did...
