It's March. About time to call the show one way or the other.
Classic Gaming Expo 2014 needs status update as on, or not this week. If not then peoples to make reservations and plan for the event is seriously doubtful.

Per John Hardie
"Hello loyal CGE attendees. First, let me thank everyone for their patience as we tried to coordinate an event for this year. It's only with your support that we've built this family over the years. As many of you know, Joe, Sean and myself have been busy the last few years in trying to garner exposure and launch the Videogame History Museum. Unfortunately, the rigors of doing 4-5 shows a year has meant that CGE has taken a back seat in our plans. While we never had any plans to abandon CGE, we felt the greater good would be to get the museum up and running. To that end, it was not our intention to have a CGE this year.
Enter Scott Schreiber from the RetroGaming Roundup crew. Scott has been a rabid supporter of our show over the years and has even published a 2600 game called CGE Adventures. He has helped out many times over the years and is a firm believer in the CGE family culture that we've worked so hard to achieve. Scott approached us about taking over the reins for this year so that our faithful attendees wouldn't have to go another year without a show. Scott has show experience, having been involved with MAG Fest and had some great ideas on how to expand the show and improve upon it without messing with the core formula that makes CGE so special. After several discussions we came to an agreement where he and his team would run the show this year since we were not able to do so. We have agreed to be involved in an advisory role and will still be participating in the show. Expect to see the full Videogame History Museum layout you've always come to expect. We will also be coordinating the Alumni aspect of the show and will again be hosting the auction (bring your money & your beer!)
So, it gives me pleasure to announce that there WILL be a CGE this year. Mark your calendars for an expanded 3-day event starting Friday Sep. 12 through Sunday Sep. 14th at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Expanded show days, expanded show hours, expanded arcade and console sections and more! (see? - these guys work fast).
Joe, Sean & I look forward to seeing all of you there. Please join us in showing your support of the show and spreading the word. We're very excited about the new format and look forward to sitting back a little and having a little time to enjoy the show ourselves instead of constantly running around. Please make sure you say Hello to us. We'd like to take the time we'll have this year to get to know our family a little better. Thanks again for all your support and all you've done over the years. See you in September!"

The tickets are now available for purchase on the site - $29 for the three-day pass (price valid till May 31st). Scott indicated on Facebook that the special hotel rates should be up by the end of the week.
I already bought my ticket and booked my plane ticket. Who else is going?
alright they must have saw that ivisited their site and realized not everyone has face book so they updated it after I left.
sounds like I might be in vegas at the same time this is going to go on so I might actually be able to be there

Actually, they never intended NOT to update the site -- the only reason why it took a few days after the announcement on Facebook is that there were some details to iron out first, plus the payment setup for buying tickets. The hotel preferential deal will be added by the end of the week.
Extremely excited that this is happening and that there is a new team adding some energy to the organizing effort while the founders are still involved in the museum and the guest speakers. I already bought my tickets and can't wait to book hotel and travel.
also excited about cge this year 3 days of classic gaming.
Well, it's hard to tell if you're kidding or not without smileys or another indication...
Since it's in my backyard once again, I'll definitely be there this year again too, can't wait :-)
Depending on the money situation I'd love to be able to go again, especially considering I missed out in 2012.
This is great news indeed. I don't miss many shows (I started going in 2003). My kids have grown up going to this show! They were 5 and 10 when we started. They are now 15 and 20! My only regret is that I usually catch the Star Trek Convention at the RIO. CGE is more important than that though! Thanks to all the volunteers that put this show together it has been a great life experience.
Aha! Now we see the violence inherent in the system!
