    Thanks for the input niku.

    I guess you´re referring to the "P3" connector (the small one on the left) for the back light.
    I'm 99.9% that's not the problem but i gave it try just to be that 0.01% extra sure and it doesn't fix it.

    I don't know if i was clear on the first post about the board to the left
    That board seems to have some vital connection for the back light since flexing it backwards makes connection to the main board thus lighting the screen up.

    I have also noticed that the connection for the d-pad button are becoming corrupted too (has to be the flexing) so i guess I'll have to track them too, to the other side (main board).
