Meh. With so few active threads these days, I don't really think it's an issue anymore. IMO.

Usually blue. Although I tried to play a famicom with the adapter and it came out pink.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Somebody will bitch if you necro, somebody will bitch if you make a new thread instead. Just pick one and jump in, I say.

I could swear I've seen a list that correlates motherboard revisions with the no-cart screen color, but I sure as heck can't find it now.

The annoying thing is that it would have been within just the past couple of months, but I've got no idea if I'm just hallucinating fake memories. I'm guessing the color is related directly to PPU revisions, though.

Fairly elaborate explanation of what's going on:

Why don't we continue discussion on the old thread?

I guess I get boring Nintendo's because I'd say 99% of the time it's just gray. I've seen colors before but it usually was leading into a worse issue where something needed a repair or was heading to that point.

Yeah, that was an awesome knowledge bomb drop there. I also decided to stick with the old thread, because it was older. Plus I was the one who got to cast "revive" on it.
