The large box mounted on the front of the arcade cabinet that holds all the joysticks and buttons.
Unlike a lot of arcades the joys and buttons are on a large box that is wider than the arcade cab itself. Mainly it's because this arcade is four player. It has a lid which opens via 2 latches on the inside for maintenance and testing connections. It also has latches that detach the whole box from the cabinet.
The person I bought this from had the arcade in a barn and sadly the joy box was outside soaked from rain. So being particle board it swelled and is flaking apart. I just got the wood to make a new one. And I have a new topside decal to replace the old one.
Now I just need to make the cuts and paint it. It will be a difficult project mainly because I need to cut a router line around it for the T molding. And I need to recess four large squares about halfway through it to get the joysticks to fit right.
