How is this for a production company name?
Limited Games Running Out.
I just got my Night Trap order in today. I started getting a little worried, but it's finally here. It will go well with my old 32x copy from when I was a kid.
LRG's pricing model continues to be annoyingly inconsistent. They recently announced Caladrius Blaze for PS4, and despite that they claim to have a "digital price point + $10" policy, with a maximum of $60 that they pulled out of their asses to justify the uneven handling of the DariusBurst price points, Caladrius Blaze is mysteriously matching its $30 PSN price point. I'm certainly not going to argue that it's a bad thing for it to be $10 less than what everyone expected, but it begs the question why other titles that are $30 or more on PSN did receive the usual +$10, like Ray Gigant and the Vita version of DariusBurst.
It may be because an English language physical disc version of Caladrius Blaze has been available for well over a year or two. So a large portion of the shoot'em-up PS4 fan base has already purchased this one - it's not a premium item like Darius Burst etc. Or the licensing fees are much less since Caladrius Blaze is from a small developer.
Who knows?!
Yeah, like Koa Zo stated, Caladrius Blaze has been out a long time, and you can get it less than $30 right now at Play-Asia. It's clear that LRG knew of the Asian release with this pricing announcement, but they've went after yet another game that already has an English print rather than something new. With this price matching the other distributors/publishers, it also goes to prove that LRG can price the games better than they have been, they just want a far bigger premium on each release.
That just raises another confusing matter since I remember LRG saying they weren't interested in releasing games that already had an Asian English physical release. With games like Ys Origin and Wonder Boy, they said they signed for them before they knew they'd also get an English physical release elsewhere, but if Caladrius Blaze has been available for a long time, I wonder why they decided to pick it up.
Almost slipped my mind since I'm not buying (and sorry for not posting a reminder about Shadow Warrior 2), but Caladrius Blaze and The Flame in the Flood just had their first batches put up for sale. Good luck to those buying.
I was partially interested in Caladrius Blaze, but it slipped my mind when it went on sale. I think I'm just going to pass on these releases since I just picked up Ys VIII and also have the new Metroid I want to pick up as well.
Although I already have the Korean (English) version of Caladrius Blaze, I like the idea of a color manual and art booklet so I picked up the LRG release at 10am. First batch sold out in ~4 minutes I think.
It was tempting to buy two copies since shoot'em-ups always seem to appreciate in value quite well. But really the extra $30 is better in my pocket than spent today in hopes of making a handful of dollars months from now.
I never bought,pa release of caladrius blaze so i went ahead with the LRG one instead.I just put a order in for the first batch and it wasn't a problem at all.I'm surprise it did sell out since shooters are a niche for the u.s market.
So what are the next games and when will they be available?

The PAX variant of the PS4 version of Ys Origin will go up sometime this month. That should be it for September. Windjammers is planned for October, but I'm not sure if anything else has been narrowed down to next month. I'm hoping we'll finally see Rabi-Ribi soon, considering it already came out in Europe.
Thanks for the information guys. Another hurricane looms and it may be weeks before I can try for another release. At least I have some time. Thanks everyone!

Does anyone know what the status of the physical version of Sundered is?
I can't find any updated info about it online.
It's gonna be a while. The developer took from mid-August through the second week of September as a vacation and this is what they said in late July before they left -
"As stated elsewhere, the physical collector's edition will await the release of all DLC for the project before being finalized, so that the physical edition can be "definitive". So no specific date for the moment - stay tuned!".
Absolute Drift, yet another game that they're expecting people to pay their bs pricing on on an already bs priced game. More like absolute sh*t. I'm exaggerating as clearly a game that people can enjoy, but for $25? Even the PSN price of $12 is pretty damn steep for a game that's budget as hell for an already budget genre. Mantis Burn is $15 for the same kind of game that actually has some effort put into it. I wouldn't purchase Mantis Burn, but I also wouldn't complain about LRG releasing more bottom of the barrel trash if they got that instead.
