Took long enough, didn't it? Anyway, I feel much better about this one than I did the first go around. I guess I was just feeling ornery about the whole thing last time. The combat seemed to be much more fun, and I didn't get spanked like a redheaded stepchild (oh the irony) every other random encounter, and the sephiroth dungeons are still something a bit different visually. On the other hand, the 'nature' dungeons and overworld map were pretty pedestrian, plus the sorcerer's ring and other puzzle elements just didn't really gel outside of two late-game optional seqences. Overall still a blast to play, and a breath of fresh air from the howling pack of Final Fantasy clones of the era.
