There isn't a 2020 topic yet, but games bought usually go in the Yearly Finds topics: https://forum.digitpress.com/forum/s...9-Yearly-Finds

i might finally get around to selling off my dupes this year. the temptation to sell a lot of my games that go unplayed has been there but from a historical perspective its nice to keep them around. I feel like if no one were to hang onto these games theyd just end up in a landfill

Im trying to sell off a massive amount of games and accessories, though I admit I've procastinated quite a bit. I tried here, but no luck. Im going to try again, but make a super sale of hundreds of items at once. Mostly LRG crap, game toys, plushies, etc
Proud owner of a Neo 25 Neo Geo Candy Cab!
if you had what I want Id probably buy it and give you fair market value, just to help you out
1. Mystic Chronicles (PSP) 4/14
Well, I'm off to a slow start in beating games this year, but between being pregnant, living in the epicenter of this pandemic (and not getting extra free time out of it, unlike many others), and sinking nearly 40 hours into this game, which is a lot more than I was expecting, I suppose it's no big surprise. It wasn't much of an ending, as it leaves loose ends and launches into the post-game immediately, so I'll be putting some more time yet into this.
Probably about 10 years ago, or so, my brother came over for a game night and we played New Super Mario Bros Wii until pretty late at night. We got all the way through the game up to the end where giant Bowser is chasing you but we died and never beat it. Tried a couple times but it was so late we called it quits. I haven't really played the game much since then but my kids have been playing it off and on over the past year and have pretty much gotten to the same point. Well, my 4 year old wanted to play it with me and he likes to just randomly pick levels to play, which he did. After playing 3 or 4 levels he picked Bower's castle acting like it'd be funny to watch me die. This time I beat it on the second try (I say "I" because he spent the whole time in a bubble).
But yeah, that's all I've got so far this year, so...
1. New Super Mario Bros Wii

Just beat Super Mario All-Stars for SNES. All 3 of the regular games, no warps, and the harder version of SMB1, as well as The Lost Levels all the way up through D-4. The Lost Levels is without a doubt one of the hardest games I have ever played. If it werent for the save system that sent you back only to the beginning of the current level, I doubt I wouldve been able to beat it. I think I died on 8-4 about 20-30 times. I live streamed that level on Twitch so my friend could watch while I talked to him. I didnt realize there were 2 Bowsers on that level. But yeah that game is for masochists. I had beaten these games in other forms on other platforms but never beat TLL before period. It amazes me that this game even saw the light of day in Japan. did they get sent back to 1-1 if they got a Game Over? Good Lord what a hard game
Fernz Gate (PS4) I completed the basic ending and am now working on the extra stuff.
I have no idea which replays I've beaten this year so far but here's some first timers I know for sure
1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Switch (Gold on every 50cc cup with just Mario)
2. Dragon Warrior II - GBC
3. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe - Switch (including New Super Luigi U. casual runs, not including the secret levels)
4. Pokemon Sword - Switch (all 400 Pokemon living Galar Dex)
5. Pokemon Shield - Switch (all 400 Pokemon living Galar Dex again)
6. Dragon Ball FighterZ - Switch (story modes only)
now I'm trying to finish the Spirits adventure mode in Smash Bros for Switch, and Pokemon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

Legend of Zelda-First Quest (Virtual Console, 3DS)
I'm eying up Super Mario World (also VC) as I never really played it BUT I noticed I'm at the 5th palace in Zelda 2 AND I have never beaten Super Mario 3, which I also have on VC on my 3DS.
I've pared down my collection of games, selling off a bunch of desirable Atari 2600 games. I have a Harmony cart now, so I'll probably sell the rest of my 2600 carts.

I just beat an old DOS game 'God of Thunder', which is a charming little Zelda inspired game where you play as Thor trying to stop one of Loki's evil plans. I found it on the developers website, but later found it's on Steam as well...

A few weeks ago I beat Celeste but didn't update the (extremely short) list.

3. God of Thunder (DOS)
4. Portal
5. Portal 2

I had an empty arcade project cabinet that has been gathering dust for years that I finally got around to finishing this week.
Tonight I managed to 1CC X-Men Vs Street Fighter on my first run. That's not a big of accomplishment, but I was shocked because 1) I haven't played this game in years and 2) I'd never finished it before, even the Saturn port.

I can barely get enough time to eat and sleep between 24/7 newborn care, but my husband put this on a couple days ago and I managed to clear all the opponents before having to tend to other things. Feels good to squeeze in a tiny bit of gaming (and actually getting on this board for the first time in weeks).
