Looked in my area, one of the first business isn't a retro anything, it's a privately run recycling center that will sell anything "vintage" they acquire instead of recycling it. Local reviews on Google say they've been doing this on an 'as we get stuff' basis for about 10 years and it's all normally either overpriced Win95 machines or NES' that aren't good for much more than parts.
Not really of use to me, but it's interesting that it exists. I was under the impression California regulated places who advertised recycling as a service.
