????? I wasn't aware of one.Originally Posted by Perkar
I have a grey insulated cable with grey and red plugs which I'm pretty sure came with the system.. (not for sale, btw) if having the 'real' deal doesn't matter much you could just use a normal pair of a/v cables. Not like the NES had proprietary plugs, thank goodness.

i was kinda hoping to spend slightly less than $7 for it tho. if nobody comes through tho, i'll probably wind up snagging one off ebay
the original one that came with the system matched up directly with the plugs. anything else is a knockoff......or i would think. go to goodwill and find an old record player, but it for $1 and find a dumpster for the player if you don't want it. keep the RCA cables....or find A/V cables from a dvd player and use those correspondingly....
yeah, i figured any "normal" cables would work, doesn't need a proprietary anything... but i don't have anything. and am pretty lazy in investigating prices at say radio shack. heheOriginally Posted by Bratwurst
Dude, do yourself a favor and goto the local Radio Shack.. 2 bucks. Heck, the dollar store near me has them.
Those are just standard av cables. You can get them from mWal-mart for $2.99
Just go to Wal-Mart/Meijers/Target/Big Lots/etc and get a pair of stereo RCA cables for .99-1.99.
they run that cheap, eh? guess i'll have to hit up meijer tomorrow. thanks!
Why don't you just save money and go get regular a/v cables from radio shack or something?
*edit* bah, too late with my response...just do what they said above.
snagged a plain ass mono rca cable from meijer today, works like a charm. thanks for all the help once again.
Bah, never settle for less than Monster Cable, even for your NES :D
(Yes, I know that's ridiculous.)
Thanks for the heads up about this, if I get a NES someday (maybe sooner than later) I'll have to make sure to get a cord if one doesn't come with the system.
