Nothing for certain, buy Sony recently trademarked "vib-ripple" in Japan. Source. Here's to hoping it's more of a sequel than "Mojib-ribbon" was.

Maybe..
That's what I am hoping for too. I know that from Oobgarm's recent review posted here that Mojib-ribbon isn't as bad as some say, but I want some simple gaming much like the original Vib-Ribbon provided. The title does sound like it would be more along thoes lines, I suppose. But, it's all speculation now.. it could even be a PSP title for all we know.
And more than anything I want to be able to throw my CDs (and possibly DVDs?) into my PlayStation and do some cool shit that doesn't have to do with making a cartoon monster.
Yeah, I forgot where I read it, I'll look for it later - but yeah its supposed to be a sequel, its by the same guy etc.
Finally some info... and it looks to be much more similar to the original this time:

To be released this summer, "Vib Ripple" is a similar style of game to "Vib Ribbon" but with different content. The player takes control of Vibri with a photograph as the game field, and must jump at designated points to free characters from the field. The game can use photographs taken from your mobile phone or digital camera via the USB port and is compatible with the PSBB hard disc unit. Photographs can also be sent to friends for them to play.
All that info comes from GameScience.
