Today my dad called me up and asked if I wanted to go out. He was supposed to have spent the whole day with my sister since it's her birthday but she just wanted to go home, so he dropped her off and picked me up. We went to a couple stores like Gamestop but found nothing, so I checked out this great store in Chicopee, MA called Video Game Castle. Bickity bam, a complete copy of Silverload for $13. I freaked out, bought that and Soul Blade and I figured it had been a pretty good day. Anyways, my dad decided to stop in at his restaurant to check things out, and as we neared it I looked over at a nearby Blockbuster and asked if I could check it out. So, my dad dropped me off and went over to his store. At this time I was out of money, and was hoping I wouldn't find anything I would need to leech money for. As I approached the store, I was thinking about this kid who was supposed to trade me a loose copy of DBGT Final Bout for my loose Suikoden II. I kept thinking about how great it would be if I found a copy here at Blockbuster. I reasoned that if they had a copy, someone probobly would've already bought it. Then I remembered I didn't have any money and would probobly kill myself if I had to run like a quarter of a mile over to my dad's store. I went over to the used games and started browse through the PS1 games. I turned to a blue disc with a smiling Gohan giving me a thumbs up.
Dragonball GT Final Bout, disc only... for $7.99
I immediately freaked out, hid the game behind 3 copies of "Wolverine's Revenge" and started running out the door, kicking myself the whole way. I dropped my wallet no less than 2 times all the while wondering why I didn't just ask for like $10 before I got out of the car. I grabbed my dad, forced him to drive me back to Blockbuster, and thankfully it was still there. I don't know why I thought it would disapear in the 5 minutes I was gone but I was just so excited. We paid for it and I did the victory dance for the rest of the day.
Silverload and Dragonball GT. Greatest Day Ever.
