Okay this is extremely stupid, that's like me DEMANDING that all the Resident Evil games be taken off shelves because you kill zombies and zombies have feelings too.

I was thinking the exact same thing. In Desert storm the player gets to kill nothing but guys in turbans, and Saddam at the end.

Oh well, I'll just go back to beating down little old ladies, Black gang members/Pimps, Mexican gang members, Asians who own restaraunts,and White cops in GTA 3.......Wait a minute...!?

There was actually a logical reason for the outrage, though. There was a round in Hitman 2 that closely resembled the site where hundreds of Sikhs (not Muslims) were gunned down. I can understand why that would make them upset. Eidos claims that scene won't be in future versions of the game.

This actually doesn't (or shouldn't) have anything to do with race. It's about a religous group being closely imitated then defamed in the game. It is precisely because not all taxi drivers wear turbans that it is a stereotype and not group affiliation. but if GTA 3 had you blowing up a Taxi Driver's Union that was eerily similar to a real life Union because they were killing customers or plotting a conspiracy, then you would get in trouble with the Taxi Union, just like Eidos did with the Sikhs, because you are attacking a group, and therefore it's individuals by affiliation. It really has nothing to do with whether or not they wear turbans. That's where the poor judgment call lies. Eidos is being sensitive to current affairs, not absolving guys with turbans (or accusing them) of anything.

Oh yeah, and in GTA3 you are an equal opportunity destroyer. It doesn't matter who's in the crosshairs we all get shot. Hitman had you going after a specific group.

that is compleatly strange. you kill guys in turbans in hitman 2, and GTA games, you kill dudes of all races. when you think about it, the people that say that is racist, is really racist itself. they are seperating groups, saying that muslums are different, and thats why we shouldnt kill them. they dont see everybody alike. well, thats my 2 cents.

Racism is the belief that your own ethnicity is superior to all others. Not the belief that some ethnicities are different.
